Q: Will this still drain the battery even with the switch turned off ?

Mine was on an ignition live so no battery drain at all. Only worked with the ignition on or bike running. Hope that helps.

Q: Can i cut off the motorcycle power cable without otherwise affecting function? i'm using it with a usb-c power bank on my bike and don't need it.
