Works amazing and makes it easier to wax, polish cars

The polisher itself is easy to use, with a comfortable grip and decent power for most tasks. The included pads, polishes, and compounds work well for the most part, and the 8mm orbit size is good for achieving a smooth finish. However, I did notice some inconsistencies with the pads wearing out faster than expected. Also, the polisher could use a bit more power for more stubborn imperfections. As you can see from the photos I barely wash this car and it has been sitting outside since it was manufactured in 2013. The sprinter is an amazing van and will run for well over 250,000 miles however the body barely lasted 90,000. I bought the kit as a test to see if I could get some of the old glory back, and after about 10-15 minutes on this one small section I’m happily surprised. I watched one of the YouTube videos a couple of times that showed the one stage and two stage to process, kudos very well done, and said about doing the two stage on a small section of the hood. Needless to say I will finish the rest of the hood. Given the size of the van I’m going to give it a week or so to see how it lasts, fingers crossed. I feel like the kit has enough supplies to do my car and my wife’s car which is in much better shape as as well as as my sons and may be a little left over. The tool is heavy but I would expect so because it does have an electric motor in it, and be prepared for some good vibrations when running on full speed. From knowing nothing about polishing a car, to still knowing nothing about polishing a car but having some decent results I give this 10 out of 10.

The torq machine is super great, bit heavy but not uncomfortable. It's well build and can't say enough what a fantastic machine it is for the average joe, the guy who just wants to try, and the professional detailer. The pads are suited for purpose so you have to know it's purpose, I needed a heavier cutting pad for some deep scratches and the 32 worked a bit but didn't quite do the job went for sonax and found the 32 better than sonax compund. The compound cutting pad supplied did wonders for swirl marks and minor stuff though. The compound did alot of polishing but boy did the 36 and 38 bring out a shine, I used 32 then 38 the results were incredible and it's a breeze to wipe off. The black pad was great for apply glaze and sealant, and I waxed by hand. I wouldn't mix Chem Guys products with other brands, stick with one brand for compound polish sealant and wax. I made the mistake in using meguairs wax great products but shouldn’t mix. I should note that I used autocolor compound before and nothing has beaten that compound for taking any scratches out too bad not I couldn't find it. All in all I'd highly recommend this machine and Chem Guys products for anyone regardless of your needs it will suit it quite well with excellent results.

I was a bit worried as a first time user but I have to say it was very easy to operate. The cutting isn’t so aggressive that you need to worry about burning through the clear coat, I think you’d have to really try to do that. I just kept it moving, same as using a sander, cross hatch pattern and it worked great. The power switch is in a weird spot but it’s not an issue for me, quality seems good, pads and included buffing/polishing compounds all worked well. I just used water to dampen the foam and it worked perfectly, buffed until clear, cleaned off and moved onto polish.

After a complete repaint of my classic l was concerned about creating spirals on the clear coat after a wash and a polish, this tool and its accessories eliminate and buff out all marks with its various grades of sponge pads and polishes
