C.S. OsborneAdjustable 90 Degree V Gouge Made in the USA No. 128-90

We had to sharpen this tool and it was nothing easy and cheap to have done. We believe a tool should be sold so it can be used without having to spend time or money to make it work.

This tool was terrible. Didn’t work at all and wasn’t sharp.

Comes sharp! Excellent tool for getting great bends on leather! Would buy again, highly recomended.

Quality seems decent, but absolutely NEEDS a touch-up with a file/sandpaper before use.

Not the quality I expect from c.s. osborne. extremely dull out of the box and difficult to sharpen evenly.

I was disappointed in the quality of this C.S. Osborne V-gouge. I always thought C.S. Osborne was top of the line when it came to leather tools but this one certainly is not. The gouge itself is not at all sharp and I can clearly see nicks and a dull edge. It does not gouge leather straight out of the plastic box that it came in. The adjustment is also very rickety and loose with no way to tighten it up. The manufacturer stamp on the tool itself isn't even readable. This leads me to believe that this item may be a foreign knock-off of the real deal or if it isn't, then C.S Osborne is not the quality I was expecting. Disappointed.

The blade for this V-gouge arrived with a large chip taken out of the edge, making it unusable. I had a heck of a time sharpening it again, but now it works pretty well. There is enough slop between the blade and the blade guard to allow the blade to spin 360 degrees, which can be irritating sometimes. However, the handle is very ergonomic and fits my hand perfectly.
