Worked fine on my 2001 E39
Took about 10 seconds to program it to lock/unlock the doors and that's all I needed it for. Haven't attempted to program it to start the car so I can't speak to that, but it works great as a remote for the central locking system.

Did not work for my BMW
Did not work as claimed on my 2001 BMW M3. Had to return for a refund.

This simply just did not work at all
The battery was good, but this just did not work on my E39 BMW
