Do you need to cut, or modify your original vehicle in any way for this product to fit?

Not all bumper models require cutting. But for the FJ Cruiser application, you will need to trim off 2 protruding brackets on both sides.

Is the light guard hoop removable?

Yes. If you are referring to the hoop, installing it is optional.

is this compatible with the ARB under body armor?

Yes it is, I have the ARB skid plate system. To fill in the gap I also installed the Tyger Skid Plate part number TG-SP6T80668, it's only $99 but make a huge difference. I think it looks real good and the bumper is easy to install, no cutting or modifying. The windshield washer bottle is protected by the bumper so no need to relocate it.
