It is highly recommended to turn the camera off before removing the SD ...
After the first week - Set it up incorrect so only got video but decent ones. To much contrast at certain times of day the background is totally whited out. Controls are not well thought out. It is highly recommended to turn the camera off before removing the SD Card. To accomplish that, the camera must be removed from the mounting bracket to get to the power switch. If the brass screws have been use to further secure the camera to the mounting bracket, the entire unit must be taken down to unfasten the screws before the camera can be separated from the bracket. All the while the camera it taking pictures and recording video. The SD card is located on the bottom of the camera accessed by loosening a thumb screw on the small door; easy but power off first - not so much. Changed the video / picture selector so will see what the photos look like next week.

DURABLE AND RELIABLE
Durable. Weather proof. Buy rechargeable lithium batteries if you are not placing it by an outlet, although it comes with an adapter to plug into the wall. Can film in color. Night videos are a bit grainy and in black and white. If you are trying to catch a tiny mouse more than 4-5 ft away, I doubt if the tiny critter would trip the camera. You may have to move the camera closer.

You get what you pay for.
Worked great for our purpose. Keeping track of what/who crossed our pasture. Only worked for a few months, bought it while it was on sale but saved it for a Christmas gift. It stopped working this summer.

do not buy, worked two months - get a decent brand like Browning
worked from 29 Oct -27 Dec and then stopped. 6 of 32 gb on the sd card used and batteries are fine. Water inside the camera despite being all sealed up. Two cheap game cameras which are both crap. My third which is a browning survived the whole winter just fine. Do not buy this or any other no-name game camera
