Conchita Lady Fingers - Classic Cuban Grocery Cookies - 7 oz (Pack of 1)

It has been difficult for me to find reasonably priced Savoiardi (Lady Fingers) for Tiramisu and I had resorted to spending several hours making them from scratch. I’m excited that I found Conchita because the price is great and so are the cookies! These are sturdy firm cookies that soften while still holding their shape when used in Tiramisu. I’ve found them to be exactly like the Italian made Savoiardi I bought in the past.If you’re buying them for snacking, expect a hard crisp cookie that can be dipped into coffee or hot cocoa. They are quite neutral in flavor and can be used in any layered cream, custard, or pudding dessert and will echo the flavors surrounding them. They also function to absorb any weeping from fruit or other ingredients in your dessert.Consider using these little delights in place of sponge cake with a juicy fruit like strawberries along with stabilized whipped cream (you can stabilize whipped cream by adding either gelatin or for a rich cream add some mascarpone or cream cheese) and/or your pudding or custard of choice. Just be sure to drizzle a flavor syrup, liquor, or other liquid on top of the cookie layer and prepare it AT LEAST 24 hours in advance to adequately soften the cookies. These arrive fresh and crisp, so it takes a full day to absorb all of the delicious goodness!Have fun with your creative !

Great dipped in coffee. Soaks up well without falling apart & getting soggy. Fresh quality. Not stale. Reasonably priced. Good flavoras&. Perfect sweetness. Good crispiness. Great texture for tiramisu.

I should have bough a case, these things knocked out the tiramisu truffles my wife makes, they were perfect fit for the recipe, and the price is unrivaled.

Perfect for tiramisu and would have been 5 stars if so many hadn't been broken.

For the price, it is a very good product. I made some tiramisu with it turned out delicious and will be repurchasing it in the future as well. I was afraid about them breaking during the delivery because of how delicate they can be. But they arrived fast and were still in good shape. It is the right amount of thickness, perfectly dry and it tastes good!

This is one of those times...well, let me just say that I bought these to make tiramisu, twice, and they didn't last until I got to the recipe. Because I ate them. There, I admit it. I think they are delicious. They are wonderful dipped in coffee which was how they got eaten before I was even able to use them in a recipe. The ones I received were fresh. I put the ones I hadn't eaten into a sealed plastic bag because the overwrap they come in is thin and not resealable (they probably know how quickly these are eaten, just saying.) If you are looking for a plain, low-fat cookie with a brittle yet light texture that is not too sweet and not terribly high in sodium, I recommend these. Perfect for someone on a diet who wants a little dessert or for anyone who likes something to go with coffee or tea or milk. I am eventually going to make tiramisu; but it will mean I probably will need to buy 2 or 3 more packages.
