Amazing way to keep butter soft and ready to use, I had no idea!
We were at a friends house and I accidently broke their butter crock because I had no idea what it was!So we replaced it with this, and had a whole learning experience about butter. The butter crock helps keep the butter fresh and soft and ready spread, it's an age old way of keeping butter fresher longer outside the fridge. You should definitely get one for your home, or they make a great gift and an even better conversation piece! Thanks for hitting like and letting amazon know you thought the review was helpful!

Like it so far!
I’ve been using this butter crock for a week or two, and I like it so far!My kids love bread and butter, so we in the past we have kept butter on an uncovered dish on the counter so it would stay soft. We go through butter pretty fast, so I was never concerned with the butter going bad, but I was getting kind of grossed out about the uncovered factor, especially with the occasional fruit flies and house flies that the summer brings. This crock seemed cuter and cleaner than a traditional covered dish, and I was just plain intrigued about how it worked, never having of a butter crock until recently, so I took a chance on it and I’m happy I did!The crock looks cute on my counter, it’s easy to take the lid off and set it down to scoop the butter out, and the butter is both fresh and easily spreadable! I change the water every couple of days and haven’t had any issues at all with watery butter OR buttery water as some other reviewers have claimed. We’ve recently had some pretty hot, humid days in Pennsylvania, and I had absolutely no problem with the butter falling out of the crock or becoming TOO soft in any way. This thing holds just about two 4 ounce sticks of butter, which means I don’t have to get a new stick out of the fridge as often, which I appreciate. It seems to be solidly constructed and easy to clean, and it definitely keeps my counters clean (A regular butter dish lid would smear butter on the counter when you set it down. The lid to this stays nice and clean!). I also appreciate the clearly marked water line on the inside, as well as the way the lid does NOT slide around when you set it back on the jar. My husband likes it too! Another bonus is that it keeps our 4 year old from sticking his hands in the butter and tying to eat gobs of it. 🤦♀️ (I don’t actually think he’s noticed where the butter has gone, which is a good thing!)All around, I’m very happy with my purchase and would absolutely recommend this product to others!

Broke before I could even use it
I really liked how this product looked. I think it would have worked well, but the “bell” portion broke off from its base, making it entirely useless. The product was made of porcelain and the edges were sharp so I didn’t want to risk trying to glue it together

Keeps butter fresh and spreadable!
This unique butter dish helps to keep butter soft and fresh (butter must be soft to put in the bowl container). Usually, the butter is in the container and the top goes on over the butter. With this amazing butter dish, the large container (bottom) has a water line that shows on the inside. You filled that reservoir with water to the line. The top of this container has a bowl that is attached to the cover. When the bowl is filled with butter you turn it upside down and place it over the container with the water in it. This now keeps the butter fresh and soft. Make sure water is kept up to the reservoir water line. Soft butter is always at hand.
