Size 12 -1/2 boot over ankle bought (high) (large) extremly pleased with product.
These work really well at closing my pants at top of half boot to keep out debree and cover laces. Wish they were cheaper. But they are Solomon and built correct and tough. I bought the second set so when the first ever do wear out I'll have a spare. Very well engineered and crafted. But i found tricky to fit over shoe correctly. Once i found The little solomen tag on each is labeled left or right, than put correct side out. they only fit correctly one way. little tricky.

Work Much Better than Expected when hiking with trail-runner shoes!
I have been backpacking for several decades, but recently changed over to backpacking in trail-runners, due to required gear being much lighter than ever before. These gaiters work perfectly with my New Balance trail runners. I have tried the gaiters that use the sticky Velcro, but those never lasted through a single trip. These on the other hand have lasted the entire season thus far and show very little signs of wear. I do not use them on asphalt or cement. These work really well for keeping dirt, sand, even grass seeds out of the shoes. Until snow, I don't plan on going backpacking without these, for the foreseeable future. For me, these work really, really well!

Great gaiter with a few issues
I’ve had two pairs and both have the same issues. For starters, the sizing is off. I’m 6’3” 185lbs and wear a size 13/14 shoe and have to use a size medium of the gaiter. If I use a large, the Velcro will not line up correctly and I cannot secure it around my ankle. The large is made for a very large ankle. The worst part, though, is the durability of the strap. Both pairs have had the strap split on me. I do OCR and these hold up for 4-5 races before I see them split. So, maybe a couple months before it happens. I don’t know how long the split strap will hold on before it actually breaks in half and no longer will connect beneath the show. Another issue is that thick mud will pull on the bottom strap enough that it will come out from beneath the shoe and just sit on the back of the shoe. I actually use another Velcro strap around the top of the gaiter to secure the top in place to keep the bottom strap from loosening up and coming off. Other than those issues, it’s a good gaiter. Improvements I would recommend are these: 1. another Velcro strap around the top to keep the gaiter in place, and 2. A clip or something at the bottom front of the gaiter that can connect to the laces of the shoes to keep the front of the gaiter connected to the shoe to cover the gap between the top of the laces and the gaiter, and 3. A more durable strap.

Fit
C'mon Salomon, you can do better than this, especially since it's an old issue! I bought these gaiters because I wanted a trail-specific set (I have 2 pairs of Outdoor Research hiking gaiters) to wear on trail races. I have owned several pairs of Salomon shoes and they were top-notch equipment, so I reasoned that these items would be the same. I always read reviews before I buy something and the reviews on these were generally good; with one problem popping up in several reviews, although those reviews were nearly 2 years old. Unfortunately, the same problem got me as well and is why I cannot recommend these and why I'm returning them. The problem is that the part that wraps over the shoe to "seal" it does not have enough Velcro to completely secure it to the Velcro on the lower portion of the gaiter , therefore I have a significant loose piece on the outside of my shoe that can catch things on the trail and possibly come un-done. I read 2 reviews where people lost a gaiter on trail. If this part were shorter, or more Velcro were used, this would be a winning design as it is very well built with high-quality materials.

Work great.
Ordered these because I kept getting trail dirt/stones/sticks in my boots. They are easy to use and keep the junk out of my boots. I was right on the Small/Medium size border so ordered up to Medium and glad I did as they fit well.

Good...but not perfect for (1) small ankles or (2) SpeedCross/SpikeCross
These get the job done in snow, but are frustrating in two ways. First, if you have thin ankles, it's tough to get these tight enough. Second, inexplicably, they do not fit well with the very Salomon shoes that you're most likely to want to wear in the conditions when you'd want gaiters - the SpeedCross and SpikeCross. I've worn them several times now with the SpikeCross (basically SpeedCross with spikes in the treads), and they work, but don't really fit well. The strap on the bottom of the gaiters is at the wrong angle for these shoes.

Rubber straps don't last
This is the second time I've tried these, and each time the rubber strap tears apart. I'm not even going on mountain trails or tough terrain. I can buy time by wrapping electrian's tape, but they tear free in no time. On a positive note, they do keep the pebbles out of my shoes.

So this is a very good solution.
I got this pair and use them several times on a muddy and bushy hikes. so far the velcro stick together.. have no problem with it. It secures my spikes not to get hooked on the upper botton of my Salomon high top. Before buying these gaiters, I feel couple of times on the trails bec my spikes keep hooking on the hightop bottons. It's very dangerous not to pay attention to this problem while hiking on the ridge.. I hike on a narrow ridges and drop offs. So this is a very good solution.

シューズのサイズに合わせてLサイズを購入したが、足首に合わなくて隙間が出来る。 1サイズ下のものを購入した方が良かったのか? ベルクロも密着する範囲が狭いので、フレキシブルな自由が利かない。

I've given this 3 stars because it works as intended, but isn't durable at all. It is likely my fault and I'm not the intended userbase. If you only hike trails where your biggest challenge is dust and some tiny rocks? Good to go. If there's any chance you will encounter a stick? Not for you - it snags incredibly fast. Worn for the entirety on 1 day and it was full of holes (better off with spinifex gaiters)

Used on a very wet and muddy run route and helps keep all the crud out of your shoes. Ronseal.
