Misleading title, but profits fund further research
Dr. Charles Runels research and development of the "O-shot" is nothing short miraculous in my opinion and should be looked into by any female hoping to find relief from urinary incontinence, dyspareunia (painful sex), or those seeking greater sexual pleasure. That having been said this book is highly overrated. It should have been titled "The story of the O-shot (main title bold print) activate the female orgasm system (sub title small print)" The bold print title of the book and five star reviews are highly misleading. You're not reading a guide on how one may activate the female orgasm system of their own accord, so much as you are reading a sales pitch on why one should consider having the O-shot procedure done. Secondly, but very distracting, is the obvious fact that this book never went to an editor. I'm horrible at grammar and spelling, but even I couldn't make it through a page without having my reading rhythm halted by poor sentence structure, spelling errors and punctuation. Lastly Dr. Runels self boasting gets to be a little over the top. Should he be proud of himself and does he deserve a self pat on the back? Sure he does, but the degree of self praise in this book is over the top. In conclusion, I feel it may be worth your while to buy the e-book version for .99 cents. The book is very repetitive and the pertinent information could have been summed up in less than fifty pages. I gave the book two stars instead of one, because there was some valuable information to be had, but not so much as to substantiate the books cost or even then time spent reading it cover to cover (which was an hour or so). Hope this review helps by providing you with an informative rather than biased rating.Edit: I upped my rating from two to three stars in light of the fact that the proceeds from this book are funding further research into women's health. My gripes still remain, but if a second edition were ever released with a more accurate title and solid editing throughout, I would consider giving it 4 stars.

My first experience with the O Shot procedure was for the assistance with stress urinary incontinence, I have also found that it helps with urge incontinence also. When I heard about the use of PRP in helping to improve female orgasms I was most intrigued. The book is most informative, it explains the physiology of the female orgasm unlike before. Dr Runels also talks about PRP and the safety of using your own plasma compared to some of the other non natural substances that were injected into this area. It also explains female ejaculation which so many are in dis-belief that this is a true occurrence. He describes the female anatomy and the clitoris in much greater depth than most books and is done in a very tasteful fashion. I agree that most Doctors don't get this type of training on female sexuality during their residencies and that is why so many Doctors are not willing to ask questions about this topic when caring for women and women do not ask for assistance in this area. This book discusses the safety of the materials injected into the female, along with the outstanding physical, mental and psychological benefits. This is a must read for every one both men and women, the procedure actually has the ability to empower women over mastering their own orgasms and no longer being left out in this area. I offer this procedure in my practice and can see how this book will educate all interested and I believe this concept is long over due.

A Therapeutic Breakthrough in the Treatment of Female Sexual Dysfunction and Stress Urinary Incontinence!
In this book, Dr. Runels tells the story of how he developed the O-Shot procedure. It is a fascinating and rather intimate look at how this creative physician developed a safe,non-surgical treatment for two very distressing, yet common, problems which plague many women. For many women, the O-shot will prove to be a "magic bullet" that "amps" up their sexual responsiveness. In a recent study of women with documented sexual dysfunction, the O-Shot helped 88% of women treated relieve painful intercourse and improve their ability to achieve orgasm. Dr. Runels' incidental discovery that the O-Shot cures stress urinary incontinence in women who cannot control urinary leakage is very significant, since this affects many women and is not always successfully treated either medically or surgically. Although I am a colleague of Dr. Runels and have learned the O-Shot technique from him, I am being totally objective when I recommend his book. Although the book is short and is a rather quick read, it is packed with a great deal of interesting content, including clinical case studies of patients that he has treated. Dr. Runels has also included a comprehensive, yet clear discussion of the anatomy and the neurophysiology involved the the female sexual response, as well as the effect of hormones and psychological factors on female sexuality. An Enlightening Look Inside the O-Shot
In recent years my sexual desire has lowered considerably and my doctor diagnosed me with hypoactive sexual desire disorder and has broached the subject of the O-shot... so being the geek I am I took to the internet and books to help me get familiar with the procedure. My search lead me to "Activate the Female Orgasm System: The Story of O - Shot" and I have to say that it was an enlightening read that really gave me a lot of information and a great deal of insight into the benefits and uses of the procedure. Dr. Runels really brings the story of the O-shot into focus with a casual but informative writing style... explaining the procedure, the benefits, the causes that require the procedure and much more. It's a well-written and easily understandable book that helps readers like me get to know the female orgasm system and just why it could be just what my body needs to reset itself and turn my significantly lowered libido disorder into a normal active libido. Overall, it was a great read that simplified and explained the O-shot in an informative way and gave me a great deal of perspective for making my choice about the beneficial procedure.

Marketing material
The author is an American doctor who had the idea of injecting blood plasma with plenty of platelets - the part of the blood that handles clotting and repairing of wounds - into the genitals of women... and getting a US registered trademark for a name for the procedure.Incredibly, his wife allowed herself to be the guinea pig for this with an injection into her clitoris. All I can say is that she must really love him.As you'd expect from what is basically marketing material, it always goes wonderfully and there are never any side-effects apart from increased horniness and orgasms for her.(This book was previously here under a slightly different name - "Activate the Female Orgasm System: The Story of O-Shot (R)". I said he'd got a trademark for the procedure.)
