I recommend this book for all meditators new or experienced. A simple well written book. Clear and concise instructions on a very effective technique

Good introduction but not much else.
This is an extremely short introduction to vipassana meditation. Definitely not an in depth "how to" book. It is primarily a promotional book for free the 10 day course which I will hopefully attend later this year. I wish it had more instructional information or examples of people's personal experience in meditation.

Small book – with big effective advice
Vipassana – to see things as they are. This means concentrating on reality as it is. In some places of the book I was a bit confused. But I am greatly thankful to the author for the overall mediation advice.I’ve heard of the breath in breath out meditation, even tried it several times to no avail. The correct technique, what to feel, how to feel and what to do is explained brilliantly. While reading the relevant paragraph I tried out the exercise. And for the first time I focused on and could feel the air in my philtrum while I was breathing. I was marveled simply by that. And there is much more. Hence why I think this book deserves a superb rating.

Good place to start
Ideal for those curious about meditation. Some may find the book a little heavy on the Buddhism but you can skip those parts without losing out on the instruction, if you so choose.

Aside from the technique description, which is a billion times better to experience it through a proper arranged 10 day course, the information contained here can be found in the FAQ web page of the vipassana courses. Now you know what you're acquiring with this book.

Everyone should meditate! Good book
I bought this because my so. Went to a 11 day silent meditation.. it was very good and informative..I like it

Not as much information I would have liked, it was ok but. would like more on how to meditate, also the links didn't work
