I love this stuff. I used to be a staunch supporter of La Roche Posay Pigmentclar. I unfortunately left that $29 face wash in a hotel shower on vacation. Upon return I ended up looking for an affordable replacement as my wallet recovered from a Disney World summer vacation. I also wanted a wash with less fragrance in it. At first, I tried the Cocokind acid cleanser and absolutely hated it — it smelled awfully chemical, did not suds up even a little and did not leave my skin feeling clean. Sure my skin was somewhat hydrated because the soap was gentle, but I don’t feel the acids really worked as well as those in Pigmentclar to clear my skin and lighten dark spots.Enter this Hero cleanser. The bottle drew me in, I’ll admit. It’s not great for travel because there’s no way to lock the pump mechanism, so you’d have to port this to a different container.The texture is super jelly like and has very small pulp like particles mixed in. If anyone has ever used a peeling gel it kind of feels like those after you start rubbing them in. I think the particles in this cleanser act as a very gentle surface exfoliator. It has a very neutral smell, but not nasty or chemical.After wash, it leaves me clean but not stripped to the point of my skin being squeaky. It suds up satisfyingly but doesn’t overly dry me out. I use a pump and a half to wash. I have dry skin due to my PCOS medication. That being said I use acid face washes to keep my PCOS acne gently in check. I love this face wash for this purpose. It leaves my skin soft and I have absolutely seen an increase in the evenness of the texture and tone of my skin over the past two months of use; the acids are effective.Overall - I thoroughly enjoy this Hero wash more than the Pigmentclar. The price is right and the effect is better for my skin type (27, dry acne prone). I’d love to see a different pump that would be good for travel. I love the bottle because you can see the cool texture of the wash. Maybe there could be a mini version for travel.

I really enjoy using this cleanser. I use it as my AM cleanser, it’s not irritating and can be used for all skin types. My skin doesn’t feel dry after cleansing and I can honestly say using it every day for two months now that my skin doesn’t get oily throughout the day now and after cleansing it feels soft and supple and ready to take in my toner and serums. My skin feels moisturized throughout the day but not oily, this is huge for me because I’ve struggled with oily skin for most of my life. So happy I found this product. This is my go to cleanser, the only reason I don’t use it at night most of the time is because I do wear a full face of make up so I use the cleansing balm and then a superfood cleanser because most of the day I’ve got make up sitting on my skin. I know for a fact this cleanser has made a huge difference for my skin because this is the only product I have changed in the last two months and it’s just made a huge difference. This will be a permanent part of my routine from here on out. Also for anybody wondering what the scent is, it has no scent- I personally like a citrusy scent in the morning but the fact that it doesn’t have a scent just goes to show that it really is not irritating and it’s great for sensitive skin. I’m more than happy to use this non-scented product because of the awesome benefits it’s hadfor my skin so far.

The media could not be loaded. Been using it got about a week and my skin already feels smoother and is more clear, so great results! The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is I’m not a big fan of the scent and the texture is kinda weird, I was expecting more of a smooth gel and instead it’s thicker and kind of grainy, it’s hard to explain. I usually do 2 pumps in my hand, mix it up with water and then foam it up in my hands before applying it to my face and then it works great.

Perfect face cleaner specially after working long hours at a manufacturing plant like myself. It’s gentle but yet gets the job done with no harsh smell keeps my face looking good

Ive been using the hero pimple patches for years since they first came out and they work like magic. When they came out with the face wash, I raced to try it out for my morning routine. The texture feels great and reminds me of a Japanese jelly face soap I used to use but suds and cleans sooo much better! My breakouts have drastically decreased since I started using this. I’m hoping they come out with a face lotion soon enough. Hero is my absolute favorite skin care brand as it’s affordable and far more effective than many of the top brands I’ve used that are 5-10 times the price.

just what i was looking for. makes my skin so smooth, no irritation, exfoliates nicely. really good value too. it's my new favorite.UPDATE: to preface, i have sensitive skin, with dry / oil patch combo. i've been using this for awhile, almost finished the bottle but i can no longer recommend. it started leaving a weird reaction in my t-zone that took me actual months to get rid of after figuring out the cause.i tried everything to use this cleanser, because i loved it. i tried to experiment, using once every other day, once every 3 days, once every 4 days. the deep bumps kept coming back with any use. it's a shame, it worked great at first, now i avoid it like the plague.

I think it helps with my skin, I have noticed a difference using this skincare line 😭😭 . I use the toner moisturizer and cleanser. I’d say toner and cleanser work well and are needed most. Moisturizer is just another luxury. But exfoliates and gets pores very clean so that’s what helps my acne. Doesn’t leave me dry. Pretty good amount I just use too much so I wish it came in bigger sizes lol.

This is my go to for cleaning my face 1-2x a day. I have very oily acne prone skin and this helps keep in in check. Doesn’t dry out my skin and cleanses it perfectly. Lasts a good amount of time too before running out.
