I love that I'm able to hold my hair in place with this product! I initially put my hair in a loose bun, and then used this to hold it in place (after twisting it once to make it a tighter hold, because I have fine hair). However, there was nothing included to give you ideas for other hairstyles. I checked out YouTube, and found some great tutorials (using similar products), but I have yet to successfully use this product for anything other than bun updos. Also, a downside of this product is that it often pulls my hair when I'm trying to take it out, or just trying to adjust it. So, you have to be confident about your hairstyling abilities and get it right on the first try.

Says it's gray - it's actually black with silver beads. Not exactly what I was hoping for, but it works fine, so it's OK.

This barrette is even more beautiful in person! It is great quality, came packaged nicely on a card with instructions on ways to wear it and carefully bubble wrapped to protect the beads. The combs are a sturdy metal so no worries about plastic teeth snapping off! Also, the seller gives amazing service! I ordered at the onset of the pandemic and my package was really delayed. I emailed asking for a refund because I thought it wasn’t coming. The vendor emailed me back explaining the delay due to coronavirus, but issued a refund anyway. To my surprise, the item arrived yesterday, several weeks later! I emailed the vendor back to update them and ask them to re-bill me as I did in fact receive my item. The vendor said recharging was not necessary due to the delay! I was so shocked at the great service! I will greatly enjoy wearing this hair barrette!

From the description, I thought that the “magical” had regular hair combs attached to the bead design. However, it did not. The tines of the magic home are crucially too short and instead of having a bowed shape that helps to grip the hair, they are just straight wire, which makes them, unfortunately, all too easy to slip out of my hair. I am attaching a photo showing the magic home on the left, and a regular cheap plastic hair Comb on the right. You will see for yourself how easily it is going to be for this come to slip out of your hair. If they had just used regular hair combs, this would be five star. As it is, I need to take it out and redo it multiple times each day.

Ordered for my 90 year old Sister who has long hair. She loved them!

My fine hair won’t stay back or stay up.Now I put it n a ponytail rubber and and wrap the combs on both sides and it’s neat, comfortable and pretty
