My 4 year old loves the Ten Minutes to Bed series. The stories and illustrations are quite engaging for young children. These are the first books that she started reading on her own.

Good book, would’ve been perfect but unfortunately it has one scary page.

I am the mother of two young children - my daughter is currently 6 and my son is 9. I have read to them every single night of their lives, and so I consider myself something of an expert on bedtime stories. Some books are just too interesting to be good for bedtime - they excite, rather than calm. Others claim to be bedtime stories, but are really just boring. This book, I can say without a shadow of a doubt, is magical and utterly perfect for bedtime. The illustrations in "Ten Minutes to Bed Little Unicorn" are so vibrant, playful, and beautiful. For the first few readings, this actually kept my little ones from quieting down and settling in to sleep. They were enthralled by the pictures, delighted by the imagery and colors, and so they wanted to be sitting up to see them. After a few readings, though, they committed the pictures to memory and were able to lay back with their eyes closed and see the pages in their heads. And that, my friends, makes bedtime a snap! At this point, we have read "Ten Minutes to Bed Little Unicorn" so many times that we all have it committed to memory. When we traveled out of town a week ago and forgot to take the book with us, we were still able to "read" it as I recited it from memory and the kids saw the pictures in their minds. Another bonus is that this book is great for early readers. The print is playful and easy to read, and the words are mostly most-used words that early readers know or are learning. This is my favorite bedtime book we have. I highly, highly recommend to all who read to kids at bedtime, and to all early readers.

The book came damaged. Something sticky was in the book. When I opened it up, the book page tore up. I am disappointed at that.

We like this series for my 4 and 2 year old but I wish the text was not black on a dark blue background on some pages. Difficult to see the words.

Ho preso tutti e 4 i titoli cartonati della serie (Unicorno, Sirena, Mostro e Dinosauro) e consiglio assolutamente sia per le illustrazioni bellissime che per le storie in rima, per niente scontate e banali...ovviamente calcolate che sono in inglese :) Tutte le storie scandiscono i 10 minuti prima della nanna e anche nelle immagini diventa pian piano più buio tanto da rendere un po' difficile la lettura in alcuni punti ma fortunatamente abbiamo già imparato le rime a memoria! Per il fattore "paura" che ho letto in qualche recensione personalmente 0 problemi, mia figlia ha un anno e adora dare martellate al troll che si vuole pappare twinkle o allo squalo che incontra Splash! Anche i piccoli mostri sono dipinti in modo simpatico e l'unica storia leggermente "drammatica" è quella di Rumble che ovviamente si conclude con un lieto fine.
