As most Muslims are predominantly South Asian in the UK, we’re also troubled by further problems due to the colour of our skin.There is an alarming lack of representation for Muslims on screen let alone south Asians, so even though this book is small in comparison to the representation we need, it was a shining beacon for my daughter who has been racially abused twice in the last week.

This book has quickly become a favorite for our family. The author educates her audience with inspiring stories of successful women using lucid and unencumbered language. Combined with beautiful illustrations and color, I found the book to be an excellent medium to deliver knowledge while being engaging and entertaining. Our family now looks forward to reading a chapter together before bedtime every night!
