It really works!
Very impressed with this funnel. It does seem to actually keep water out. When done filling just dump out the water in the top of the funnel and you’re good to go.

Great for VP Fuel Cans
When transferring fuel from one VP can to another, I feel better running the fuel through this filter to prevent sediment or other contaminants from taking up residence in the fuel. It is acceptably quick at filtering the fuel as you pour, and for the price it is worth the benefit.

Smaller than I thought it would be
This filter funnel works well. My use is to filter my parts washer solvent when draining the tank. Yes, there is a small bit of waste, but I don't feel it is significant.I should have ordered the 2/3 filter unit. The opening diameter on this funnel is about 6" and flow rate is around .6gpm.If you are needing more size or flow, get the larger version.

Separated water well for me
Pure fuel went through rapidly however fuel with water filtered through much more slowly. Filtering through several times helped. I checked several times with straight water and it stopped the water every time. I filtered a total of about 10 gallons of diesel contaminated with sludge and water.

The reason why this product have built in sump.
Reading Is Fundamental which many that left a bad review fail to do.after the filtering , the product left in the sump look and smell like gasoline, trust me ( Not gasoline ).If you keep using this product and discard what is left in the sump. For a few days your engine with feel a tad more hot ( trapped water be it in the gas line or tank. The Lifters will quiet down ( that tic tic tic sound from the engine ). More power to the engine. Better voltage charging. Start up faster in cold weather. Better heat during winter months.A typical gasoline mixture contains about 150 different hydrocarbons, including butane, pentane, isopentane and the BTEX compounds (benzene, ethylbenzene, toluene, and xylenes). Gasoline also contains lubricants, anti-rust agents and anti-icing agent. Some gasolines also contain ethanol, which is made from corn. This product filter to almost pure gasoline. Pure gasoline is a solvent that will clean:gas tank from rust.Clean your fuel line as well fuel filter ( many cars have many fuel filters ). Clean your fuel pump. You may not know the arm of your fuel pump the meter to gas volume will rust from ethanol ( indirectly ). molecules in gasoline expand and contract depending on outside temperature. ethanol bond to water even water in the air. Thus the accumulation of moisture in tank. Ethanol in fact not all that much cleaner just make carbons less dense. Lighter carbons move to the upper atmosphere. This why back in the 1800's water in cast iron pots was kept in wood burning fire place when in use. ( less chimney cleaning ).Gasoline with ethanol prone to phase separation ( gasoline break down ie gasoline lack cohesion). They tell you, you can not remove Alcohol, yes you can and my truck run much better for using the product. Thank You a answer to prayers.

seems ok
Perfect for what I needed
C**.
Seems to filter well but too much left in funnel
A lot of fuel remains in the funnel when filtering. Does pass thru filter rapidly but end up having to either pour a bunch of fuel back into the fuel can or throw it out. Could result in a lot of wasted fuel.

Appears to do exactly as it states. Read on >>>>>
Owning a late model mower with a plastic carb that has a very small metering jet means, any tiny speck or fuel oxidation will instantly clog it. It's a real pain to have to stop in the middle of mowing to tear down the carb and clean it out again. This got old quick from a less than brilliant design.I now use this FloTool filter/funnel each time I refill the mower tank. The fine mesh screen works great as a filter and appears to not allow the static pressure of any water/moisture to pass through. This can occur even with EFG which I use exclusively in all of my small engines..Couldn't be happier with the results. A perfect solution product ! I'll be using it when fueling "all" my power equipment from now on. Only wish I knew about it sooner.
