Makita DUB185Z Cordless Handheld Leaf Blower Powered by 18V LXT Li-Ion Battery

We Love this blower! It does the job, blows leaves, or sawdust off my saw tables, with ease. It’s compact, making it lightweight, but powerful. I bought another one for my son, and he loves it too. Now I need to mention that we are Makita guys so we already have the batteries, that is a big deal. However this blower is impressive, it has three speeds, and because of its size the maneuverability is great. You don’t get tired carrying this down the driveway. I use it to blow out the shed, blow off my lawn tractor, blow off different work tables, even my truck bed, and it’s easy to store. You really don’t need a big blower to get the job done.

This blower was perfect for my mother in law to use to blow off her deck or porch. It’s lightweight and lots of power. It was great value for how well it works and the battery life is so great for all of her blowing needs.

Other people have said that instructions were in Chinese or Japanese. My instructions and warranty card were definitely written in Korean, and the warranty card says that the warranty is only valid in Korea. This is clearly a gray market item that was not intended for sale in the USA, or is avoiding US tariffs. The label says made in Thailand. The box is written in English, Spanish, French and German (no Korean). That said, I don’t have reason to believe it is counterfeit. I have no idea if the warranty is actually valid in the US. The instructions are basically useless, so it doesn’t matter if you can’t read Korean. It works fine. A bit noisy for its size. I bought it to clear my patio without dealing with an extension cord, and it does that ok. Nowhere nearly as powerful as my plugged-in Toro blower. The air intake is on the left side, so if you are right handed and wearing loose clothing (robe, dress or trenchcoat), the clothing can get sucked into the intake. You’ll want to switch to your left hand. I am having fun blowing down my drive way every day, now that the leaves are falling. It's a fun little toy tool. A fresh battery is much more powerful than a weak battery; I'd estimate the wind volume is a factor of 2 more on a fresh charged battery (18v 5AH) compared to one that it just about to run out of juice. I don’t understand the speed selector, because the trigger itself is variable speed (like a drill), so you don’t really need the speed selector. They should remove the speed selector and replace it with a trigger lock so you can relax your index finger.

Was looking for an inexpensive battery powered blower for my 2 car garage/shop to replace my small corded blower. I have several Makita 18V tools and batteries, so this seemed a natural. Since i have a gas powered backpack blower I didn't need anything real powerful, just something to blow off the bench and shop floor. Makita has several other more expensive options but again, didn't need much. I am very impressed with the poser this has. more than enough to blowout the garage/shop. is even strong enough to blow off the driveway! I see that you can get a longer attachment to get the air flow closer to the ground but don't think its needed for what I use it for. It has a soft rubber nozzle like my corded one so its also perfect for blowing off the Harley after a wash. Very easy to maneuver and can direct the air into hard to reach places with no danger of scratching or denting anything. The variable speed is nice too when you dont need tornado power ....... NOW the little shortcomings: It's too easy to move the 3 position switch to a lower setting accidentally, reducing power. No trigger lock so you have to constantly hold it on. Finger fatigue. Spoiled because my corded one can lock on. It doesn't stand up on its own with or without the battery attached. Really?!?! The included literature is all in Chinese. Even the box looks like it's intended for a foreign market. Should I be worried?? So far so good!

This little tools packs a pretty good punch. You’re not going to blow all the leaves off your lawn but it definitely is great for a small shop or to clear work space. With a full battery it will deliver surprisingly good force and seems to last long enough for what I need it for. It is better than I expected and love the compact size. I also purchased the catch bag so I can use it as a vacuum as well.

Cuando me llegó tenía mis dudas, porque me dejé engañado por las fotos y pensé que era más grande. La sorpresa que me llevé al recibir el paquete. Pero eso es un punto a favor porque la puedes llevar a cualque parte sin problemsa. Tiene muchísima potencia y 3 niveles de ajustes. El gatillo es progresivo así que funciona como si fuese una sopladora de gasolina. Yo la uso en el jardín y en las obras y estoy muy contento. Con una batería de 5 amperios de la misma marca me da para mucho tiempo.

Come with 3 power trigger and the button control variable speed. Very handy to blow dust off the table and tight corners of work piece. Saved quite amount of time compare to sweeping dust off table and floor. If you already have makita 18v battery, this is one nice addition
