You need adapter plug as it is American. Got one which also has USB.
I use it for warming microscopy slides.

reminds me of the can and can opener dilemma
so in the title I mention a dilemma. Just like the metal food can was invented in the 19th century to store food there was no good tool about at the time to open them. The can opener was only invented years later to tackle this problem. This cup warmer is fantastic however the dilemma is finding a suitable cup for it! Someone mentioned a camping cup - I aint drinking my coffee out of something like that - you get drinking cups like the atom travel cup but upon research it has a too thick base to work efficiently with this. Insulated cups are no good because they don't transfer the heat and as I discovered you just cannot use porcelain cups with any kind of lip or curvature - your coffee will burn and still not get hot enough - I also cracked a cup. So... I found a cosori stainless steel mug and nearly went for the bundle offer of a cosori heater and mug because the cups alone cost as much as this heater but the cosori heater only reaches 5 degrees lower than this heater and I need full power sometimes so I am not going to risk a lower powered model - it also had some bad reviews.Back to the drawing board - ideally I need a borosilicate glass cup with a lid and a neoprene sleeve around the outside to insulate and protect hands from getting hot. That is what this product is lacking as I could not find one. I tried the aldi travel cup made out of borosilacate glass and that works well but the quality of the glass was terrible making me return it.I have now opted for a lab/kitchen borosilicate measuring jar/cup with lid which I will add a neoprene cover to. That should have finally sorted my coffee problem. At the moment I am using a beer pint glass which works best out of the cups I have but it is not great drinking coffee out of a beer glass - feels wrong so hoping for my delivery to arrive soon.Would be a near perfect cup alternative if it didn't have a spout but like said I just could not find what I was looking for for a reasonable price https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B079L1TGX3/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1Have since found the perfect mug which I didn't really anticipate needing but here it is https://www.amazon.co.uk/SULIVES-Clear-Tea-Mug-Infuser/dp/B07SQ7G98N/ref=pd_aw_sbs_201_5/260-8592001-3591952?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_i=B07SQ7G98N&pd_rd_r=1c24edca-c86b-40c7-aff0-7a8479c59682&pd_rd_w=cR4wz&pd_rd_wg=N23wK&pf_rd_p=15216146-4434-47f5-99d9-56240c85bf4d&pf_rd_r=B7MS61H32RDW8HCFPPB8&psc=1&refRID=B7MS61H32RDW8HCFPPB8

Keeps your drink warm as long as you want!- Works well
Loses a star because I think for £20 it’s a bit pricey.... you can buy a kettle for half the price for example! In terms of doing the job - keeping you drink warm on maximum power it keeps the drink at a perfect temperature (still too hot to gulp down!)In terms of how effective it is - I.e. just how much energy it can transfer into the water I tested it with a cold cup of water and after around an hour it had it up to 56 degrees (colder than stated on the description but very acceptable) so it defiantly works - I.e. if it can get the water up to 56 degrees then clearly it will keep a drink warm as long as you desire! The actual metal plate gets to well over 100 degrees so do be careful and don’t touch!A warning light stays on when it is still hot (after turning it off) which is good - though a bid stupid as it’s a blue light.... surely red would be more suitable? The design it’s self is okay, not the most elegant - a nice black glass finish - similar to induction/ceramic hobs would perfect the design!Overall it DOES THE JOB and will keep your drink warm as long as you want! I love my coffee and the effort of making fresh ground coffee to then let it go cold and discard it is no more!(You can’t tell by the description just how good - unlike other Itmes! - hence my review, though it was written quickly on my phone so apologies for grammatical errors! Hope it helps)

Excellent value and much better than most mug warmers sold on Amazon
I like to keep a mug of hot tea or coffee on my desk while working, and for many years I was seeking a practical way to keep my drink at at least 62°C for an hour or more. A colleague has an amazing programmable Ember 12oz mug, and I would have bought one if it didn't carry a price tag of about £120.Finally this Vobaga mug warmer has solved my problem.I had previously tried dozens of solutions, including some dodgy home made ones...You probably have a miscellaneous collection of ceramic mugs of various sizes, acquired over many years. Most such mugs and cups feature a slightly raised base circumference, which prevents maybe 80% of the the mug base area from directly contacting the surface it rests on. Almost all the mug warmers you see on Amazon are intended for use with special flat bottomed mugs, and cannot keep a conventional mug at anything much above about 40°C. The USB powered ones barely keep your beverage even slightly warm. However, unless you have £100 or more to spend, this Vobaga may be the only exception, and when set to full heat should keep your conventional mug well above 55°C, and if you happen to have a genuinely flat bottomed mug, the half heat setting should do the same.I now have two of these, one for home and one for work. I gave away my previous and more expensive Cosori mug warmers which, while a bit smarter and more hi-tech looking, were only good for flat-bottomed mugs.I've had both Vobaga heaters for many months now, and they are left switched on all my working day (and sometimes all night if I forget to turn them off), providing a constant supply of tea, hour after hour.
