what kind of glue do you recommend for caning a chair?

The spline in place is between 3/16" and 1/4". In ordering the replacement, which measurement should it be?

I would provide for the 3/16" to 7/32" for the separation and soak the spline for 24 hours before the install.

I saw a table which specified #9.5 for 1/4" channel. Is this going to be too narrow? Do you offer a kit w/ wedges, cane mat, and reed?
