Low Pressure Reducing PVC Water Regulator For Chicken Drinkers - Nipples + Cups

installed perfectly with PVC cement in my 1/2 PVC line. lots of pressure adjustment, all the way down to zero. my cups now fill perfectly from my plumbed in line. Endless water supply for my chickens! yay!

Worked well to reduce the water pressure to my chicken waterers. I dropped it to 4 stars as the pressure valve is hard to turn even with thinner screwdrivers. The hole is small so you would think to use a small screw driver but the screw part is kind of wide so you need a thicker screwdriver to turn it. I used the thinnest normal screwdriver I had and it shaved the hole a little larger while I adjusted it.

This thing rocks. My fridge ice maker had been overflowing and turning my freezer ice bin into a block of ice... total mess. After trying many things I just thought I'd try this little valve and see if I could address the issue by controlling the water pressure into my fridge. BINGO... worked like a charm. A cheap and easy solution.

Doesn’t work. No matter how much you reduce the pressure it still causes the waterer to leak. Expensive and useless.

Slowly creeps up pressure until there is too much pressure for the cups to work.

I installed this on my poultry watering system. It worked well for about two years but then failed to regulate the water pressure. It's cheap plastic construction. I replaced it with the cast-iron Cash Acme 20658-0005 1/2" Pressure Regulator which should last for years. Note: As of when this review was written, Amazon's product description for the Cash Acme 20658-0005 pressure regulator is wrong. The 20658-0005 (1/2") and 20662-0005 (3/4") have an adjustable pressure range of 0-20 PSI. That's perfect for poultry watering systems.
