Great for frat subwoofer
I got a JBL subwoofer from eBay that had a damaged cone. Used this Alpine to replace it and it has been preforming great ever since! It gets abused by frat brothers and DJ's at parties playing house music, Jersey Club, rap, and other bass heavy music. It is still going strong after almost 2 years now.

Hey it's alpine expect nothing less.been listening to alpine since back in the 80's I had a 7618 car radio,I couldn't believe how clean it sounded,I was hooked on alpine since.these subs are the best sounding for the $$$$ period

Worked great as a home theater sub.
I designed a small ported home theater sub with this driver and it performed better than I expected. The internal volume of the box is 2L with an F3 of 26Hz (Port is 3"x10"). The bass is very tight and well controlled due to the strong magnet structure.
