Santa Paula Citrus - Handmade Luxury Shaving Soap from Chiseled Face Groomatorium

Excellent shaving soap. Comes in a nice size bowl and using a brush last a long time. It whips into a nice foam and has pretty good cushioning and great glide. Natural ingredients and no burning sensation I sometimes get from highly scented soaps. That being said I am not sure about the scent. Supposed to be citrusy and clean but my first impression was pepper and maybe some orange in the background. The scent is not strong while shaving but not existent afterwards. No lingering scent at all which I kind of like. I don't like strong scents that carry all day. I want to try another chiseled face scent but probably won't buy this one again. Not bad just not what I was looking for.

This is my second chiseled face shave soap, the first was ghost town barber and I was extremely pleased wth the proformance and the smell of that one and I don’t tend to like barber shop scents but that one was bomb! So I seen the Santa Paula soap and thought it would be a nice citricey orange smell but instead it ended up being almost all sage.. it literally smells like I’m smelling a jar of herbs of sage and petitgrain. A very industrial grain smell with very very slight orange peel smell. Moreso upon lathering. It’s not the worst smell but just not what I expected. It still has that beautiful groomatorium slickness that we all love so I gave it a few stars for that. Very manly scent perhaps too manly for me lol. I don’t need to smell like my spice rack!

When I open the recipient,the scent doesn't mean too much to me, but when I tried it, is a very different thing, is like a new world open to the nose, and in the other hand works wonderfully in the shaving aspect. Brush recomendation Boar or Badger.

This stuff is really, really good. It whips up quite a bit of lather, and it's very smooth - it glides - it's thick and cushioning. The fragrance (in this case all essential oils) is really creative and cool. I like soaps that use natural fragrances.

I buy this for my 84 year old Dad. He loves it. I have bought three so far.

It lathers nicely and its bigger than expected. That being said, I'm not a giant fan of the smell. Almost no orange to it, mostly sage and other spicy notes. Probably wouldn't purchase this scent again

This lathers up and lets me shave without cutting myself. It stinks ok too - the ladies seem to like this scent on me. Nice job Chiseled Face...
