First I will say.. They're cheap! Not only the cost, but yes, they're a thinner, cheaper nylon. Still get the job done though. More houses in America need a box of these.How to not break them.. Make sure there is no force on the cord you're hiding. They are cheap and will break if there's too much tension against them. But if you have slack these are a must.. Need to hold tighter wires in place? Buy thicker ones...

The clamps are of a poor quality. It is made of very thin plastic and lacks durability. It was not shipped with the screws that are shown in most of the illustration. It is shipped with flat head screws rather than round head screws. The screws can pull through the holes of the clamps (either during installation or after) rendering them useless. There are two partitions missing from the box destroying some of the organization promised by a compartmentalized box. Look for something else that is heavy duty and provide your own screws; you will be much happier (even if it costs more).
