If you're reading reviews about motor oil, maybe it's your first time changing oil. That's perfectly okay! Havoline is a good brand at a good value. This is a quality conventional oil. Conventional oil means it's highly refined crude oil. One difference between this conventional oil and many modern synthetics is longevity. You're looking at a 3000 to 5000-mile interval before you need to change the oil and filter using conventional oil. Many modern synthetics are just super refined crude oil, That doesn't necessarily mean it lubricates better, just lasts longer. Also, conventional oils such as this one won't flow as well in sub zero weather as synthetics. But if you don't live in that kind of environment, that doesn't matter.I actually prefer Havoline to many more expensive brands. Look on the back of each bottle you buy. The oil should have a certification donut, which at the time of this writing the latest cert is SN. As long as it has that, it has passed the tests to be a quality conventional oil. This received that cert. If you're interested in reading reviews about the oil google "Bob is the Oil Guy". Many people have had the oil tested in labs to prove its good. Also, there is a website called PQI America that has many good facts. Also, please check your oil. It just takes a moment to do. There are many good YouTube videos that will show you how. Oil that's been in too long is still better than no oil at all!

Needed oil for a new air compressor. This works great and I would recommend this for any air compressor.

This is cheap motor oil, but that's not a bad thing! I can't speak to the chemical properties, and I'll update this if my car seizes up, but it hasn't so far after 3 weeks of running with this stuff.My biggest problem with it is the bottle. First, the meter on the side counts down, instead of up. So when you get it, the oil is at 0. This isn't a huge deal, I'm not averse to math, but it's just odd in my opinion. Second is the seal. It's not a foil seal, as is common, it's more like a juice bottle with a plastic pull tab. This makes things minutely harder for me, because I usually cut a pattern into the foil seal which makes oil pouring easier. Alas, I guess I'll have to use a funnel...It's very hard to beat $13 for 5 qts of oil on Amazon, but with crude oil plummeting in price who knows what will happen!

Great oil

I needed some cheap oil for my car that has a very tiny leak and also burns oil like crazy! So going to the store to purchase oil by the quart gets super expensive!! So when I saw this I had to get it!!!The price is stupid crazy and extremely hard to beat! When I got this it was $13 for 5qt. Quickly received it and put it in my car and it worked great! I have used it for a couple of weeks now and there has been zero issues!!! The oil works just as it should and has not caused any issued in my cars old engine! I will update if it seized up or anything crazy!!!Highly recommend!
