Works great!!
I had a metal 20 gallon that finally rusted out. I wrote the date on it when installed, it was 15 years old. I live in a old farmhouse with a damp basement. The draw down on the 20 gallon at 40/60 PSI was only 6 gal. I would always get a slight temperature change in the shower as it cycle. I have a 3/4 hp submersible pump. I would also notice the change in water pressure. The drawdown on this 87 gallon is 23 gallon at 40/60 PSI ( Note the drawdown at 20/40 psi is 30 gal, the drawdown at 30/50 psi is 27 gal). With this larger tank I shower and the pressure never changes. The temperature doesn’t change either. I’m very glad I went with the larger tank. I turned on the shower, the sink and then flushed the toilet and the sink pressure stayed constant. I debated whether to spend the money on the larger tank, I’m glad I did.

Careful, threads are plastic and are not tapered.
Using this as an extra tank, so it is not installed in the usual arrangement for my well. Relatively light weight and easy to install except for one issue. The threaded part that attaches to the tank uses an O-ring seal. This was helpful to give a little rotational movement without leaks. I ordered a stainless 90 deg elbow to attach, but found both male and female ends were straight threads, not tapered! Tried several times and always got a leak. Finally was able to get it leak free with high quality pipe paste AND about 15 wraps of thick teflon pipe tape. I also found out that plastic fittings can distort if tightened too much, so I did not tighten as much as usual (I had to guess how much was enough).

Quality and customer service a failure
I bought this tank to replace my 28-year old WellMate that had performed well, but had failed due to a bladder leak. The new tank leaked. WellMate customer service (PentAir) suggested tightening the bottom plumbing connector. That done, it still leaked. I completely removed the bottom fixture to find an o-ring with a big dog-legged kink in it.Then the fun started.WellMate would not send a replacement part. 1. The region where customer service was located did not have one. 2. Another geographical region that DID have one would not sell or send it to me because I was '..not a distributor.' 3. The customer service 'region' refused to do anything to get the part from the other area. I called other PentAir corporate phone numbers, emailed requests to other PentAir 'help' options available on the web.I got exactly nowhere.Keep in mind that all this time (four days to that point) I had no house water but a five gallon camping bladder I filled up before I started the tank swap. Not the end of the world, but less than convenient....all because of a DOA product that I was getting ZERO support for.Eventually, I got the specifications for the o-ring and went shopping myself; local plumbing supplies, bearing distributors. I eventually found an o-ring with the exact specs at NAPA! I had to order 10 of them...and wait for their arrival.Still no water. The seller of the tank was not helpful. It took several attempts in correspondence with them for them to eventually understand what part I needed. After a week of fussing with them, they said they would send me the part. That was TWO WEEKS ago. I still have not seen the part.WellMate, by my first use, was an excellent tank. Now? PentAir, the folks that bought WellMate do a completely unacceptable job of supporting the product. The seller, presumably a WellMate distributor is no better. The tank was dead on arrival. Support was awful to non-existent. I spent over a week resolving somebody else's problem...and cleaning up their leaking mess. Not acceptable.Somewhat of a by-the-way: There is zero chance of putting the bottom fitting on, mangling the o-ring, and not KNOWING it at the time. Anyone with the mechanical aptitude of a moron would know, by feel, that 'Something is wrong.' Certainly, anyone trained for the job has NO excuse for such a ham-fisted assembly practice. There is NO way ANY of this should have happened in the first place.

... old Wellmate WM-25 tank's bladder failed so I was pleased to discover that I could get a new one ...
My 25 year old Wellmate WM-25 tank's bladder failed so I was pleased to discover that I could get a new one from Amazon with free shipping. I hardly considered getting any other manufacturer's tank because of the long life I got out of the first tank and because these Wellmate tanks don't rust or otherwise degrade over time. I couldn't replace the bladder (the only part prone to failing) in my old tank, but Amazon sells a bladder replacement kit for this new tank, which is another plus. I took out the old tank and installed the new one by myself in a few hours. However, I'm a retired 74 year old Mechanical Engineer!

Good Water Tank
Bought this well water tank for my house. The first tank shipped was defective and the seller was very good in sending a replacement. I had the tank professionally installed. It has been over five months since the tank got installed and it is working great so far. This tank replaced an old existing tank and sine the existing water pipe had the right size connector, the plumber managed to remove and replace it in less than an hour. I believe if you are handy enough and have appropriate tools, you can DIY the installation.

and I like the fact I can service the bladder should it ...
Well built product and the only reputable alternatives I found to metal tanks. For the capacity the price can't be beat, and I like the fact I can service the bladder should it fail rather than be stuck with another expensive purchase, although the replacement bladders seem to be a tad overpriced ($250? For a giant balloon? Get real - they realized you're stuck and it's a proprietary part) Running at 40/60, I haven't had any issue since I installed it. I'm actually considering expanding my system with a smaller Wellmate backup tank inline.
