Great book
This is a great book by someone who was there at the beginning of the southern rock movement. There’s first hand accounts of Paul’s work with all of the bands that were on the Capricorn label and his work with Duane and Gregg Allman in the Hourglass. Highly recommend!!

Should have been a lot longer
Paul Hornsby is my favorite producer ever. I would have liked a lot more stories about the great Grinderswitch and, of course, Marshall Tucker. Coauthor Michael Buffalo Smith had (he's since died) better stories about the enigmatic Eddie Hinton on his excellent Swampland website, many told by Hornsby.

Southern rock and roll
Paul is my friend so I was eager to read the book. It is funny and fascinating. I got to enjoy the music in so many ways from my college days on. i did not really think about the behind the scenes efforts to create that music. It still thrills my heart to this day. Listen to the piano on Cant you See by Marshall Tucker.....Thats Paul.

Good Personal Stories
It was an easy & fast read. I was already familiar with some aspects of Paul’s career and accomplishments.I enjoyed Paul’s personal stories. From the title “Fix it in the Mix”, i was hopeful he’d also dive into details of his Audio Engineering & Studio Recording work. I was hoping i might learn some techniques or lessons from his occasions of having to “Fix the Mix”. Sadly, those were never really discussed.
