For Curry Lovers
We regularly make a creamy curry, either chicken or shrimp in good size batches. It's addictive. These puppodums make an excellent accompaniment along with rice and your favorite chutney. They have a great corn/wheat flavor and a light, crisp texture. They are easy to make. We heat peanut or similar oil in a small pan to a relatively high heat, like any fried food. (Be careful.) The oil is hot enough when the puppodum cooks in a couple of seconds. I really do mean a couple of seconds. Make one at a time. You should use a cooking utensil like metal tongs, first to hold it down in the oil and second, to be ready to pull it out quickly once the puppodum puffs up like a large cornflake. If you like them a little more golden brown, then add one more second to your frying time. Bon appetit. - JPK

Perfect in microwave, but do SHORT intervals!
These are the best papadums for microwaving I’ve found. DO NOT follow their timing instructions though! (Currently the box says to microwave for a full minute - that badly burns them, even in my tiny 700W microwave.) Start with 15 seconds, flip over, keep doing short intervals. The process will quickly get easy for you. Perfect papadums with no oil required to prep!

Don't believe cooking directions.
Don't believe directions. Told to pan fry with oil, I nuked them instead. One minute in the microwave, four of them cook up crisp, ready to eat, without all the extra calories from the oil.

Wonderful product, a must with curry!
These are always great! I use the microwave method to cook! Make sure you stand over them and don’t zap too long! They will burn.

Good value - description a little loose - actually 4 boxes of 16 Papadoms
Product description was not completely clear how many per box, and that pack of 4 was actually 4 boxes of 16, which makes it very good value.Only 4 stars because Amazon packaging was inadequate with two of 4 boxes slightly crushed.

Delicious!
I am trying to cut down on carbs, and because these are lentil and not flour based, they make a good snack without getting quite as many carbs, and fewer calories, than chips. I spray these with a bit of cooking spray or lightly brush with oil, into the air fryer and bake at 390 degrees for 90 to 120 seconds, and I have a tasty snack that provides that crunch I crave.

Quick and easy addition to Curry meals
We heat about an inch of oil in a sauce pan over medium heat and these fluff up into light and airy crisps within seconds. They're perfect with Indian dishes.
