No. It would be very caustic on your hair! It’s supposedly supposed to be for skin rashes. Smells too strong to use for that.

How's the consistency? Is it a thick cream or like a runny lotion?

Friend it is not thick or running. It has a good consistency making application easy.

Active Ingredient: Pyrithione Zinc, 0.1%-Antidandruff

How much sulfur is in the product?

Not much- you cannot smell even the slightest hint of sulfur. I am allergic to sulfur and I use it on my grandson at age 3,4,and 5 - no negative effects at all - perhaps you should check to see if it’s returnable!
