Not non stick - a big let down!
Everything sticks to the pan...can't make a crepe or anything similar at all in this. Definitely not non stick!

In Jan 2019, after much research into non-toxic, well-reviewed and affordable cookware, I decided on the Ozeri Green Earth range and purchased this 8” Frying Pan and the Sauce Pan. On receiving them I noticed that the stickers in the centres were different. The Frying Pan was CK2 and the Sauce Pan was C3+. This led me to investigate Greblon further and I discovered there are numerous types of Greblon used for all manner of applications, but at time of writing this review, for cookware there are 11 and of these, there are only 2 that do not contain PTFE and are 100% toxin free – CK1 (single coat ceramic) or CK2 (double coat). C3+ is a PTFE (ie Teflon) based ceramic coating so I returned the Sauce Pan. I have now been using the Frying Pan for 8 weeks and am so far delighted with it. Having had a Green Pan frying pan for a couple of years, I know that ceramic coating is not always as non-stick as you would like it to be and can require diligent cleaning to keep carbonisation at bay. Having learned this hard way, my Green Pan has lost a lot of its non-stick properties but is still useful for cooking things that taste better for a little bit of burn… such as crispy bacon ;o) With my new Ozeri pan, I have followed the instructions to a T. After thoroughly seasoning with coconut oil, and cleaning only after the pan has cooled with very hot water and a soft bristle brush, I have so far maintained the non-stick properties and not had anything catch or burn that required any abrasive cleaning or the use of washing up liquid, inside or out. I have also been more aware of not cooking at such high heats as I used to, and accepting the bit of extra time this takes, and have been surprised at how much better some foods taste for this. I always add a little bit of butter or coconut oil to my pan, so do not attempt to dry fry, but have been able to cut this down to a smidgen and still not have anything stick. If this changes, I will update this review. As for the quality of the pan, it is faultless. Chunky but not too heavy, like cast iron or stoneware, with a grippy rubberised, stay cool handle that does not hurt my finger joints like some of my pans do. This handle is apparently oven safe to 180oC, though I have not put that to the test! Food cooks evenly and whilst I am not sure if the textured bottom really adds to the non-stick properties of the pan, it certainly adds an appealing pattern to things like omelettes! Initially I did not want green coloured cookware, preferring the look of Ozeri’s Stone Earth range, but the non-toxic properties of the Green Earth were paramount for me, and I quickly changed my opinion and now love the snazzy contrast of the green against my black ceramic hob in my black and white kitchen. In fact, I love this little pan so much I will be purchasing the 3 frying pan set today so I have the 10” and 12” also ;o)

1. u cannot wipe things off, if u are only boiling eggs and apply adequate oil, nothing sticks, 2 non stick? more like enamel-ish non stick. it is not your average teflon hard shelled or crystalline non stick sand blasted style surface rather, it gets nice looking like a carbon steel wok, with proper oil usage. But the problem is when u cook any way other than that u get sticking. And it can get bad, just like a carbon steel wok can stick as well, although both are way superior to cast iron, I would assume both are superior to traditional non stick pans, traditional heavy wok, traditional french dutch oven, traditional stainless steel cookware. but to say that this thing is fast cooking, is a bit far fetched. I tried to cook some water on this, without a microwave atm and not wanting to wait for water to boil in a kettle. (no electric kettle atm )_ and I have to watch this thing, otherwise it will leave all the white water residue over, and I have to wash them off.. not that it's hard but it's just a pain to have to see this thing become all abrasive to the touch..u want your cookware, especially this cookware to be slick, cus that is how it gets nonstick. I am returning this tomorrow and hopefully I will get a full refund as is the policy of Amazon. I find that the carbon steel wok I deserted due to less than cast iron but still apparent seasoning and flaking problem, cooks things way faster, if you do oriental cuisine at all../or you cook a lot of things and stir fry them. If all you do is light frying, yeah sure this thing can be your one and only pan, but I do cook oriental meal, and I am having my eyes on the slick surface(without the hex texture to make it hard to wash clean--and it is hard to wash clean and u cannot even check for sure without a good eye vision..i guess u have to use tissue to check for sure, or water and then poured into a glass, then see if there are particles of leftover residue) version of this pan. I have no idea when earlier the either version came out, but I have had enough with washing this version, although it is asthetically pleasing and I assume it does help with cooking.--in an alternative way--i am by no mean a thermo cooking expert. Also having eyes on their one and only wok, again, slick surface inside. Both are at a pretty high price at the moment, as is this pan I bought like, a month or 2 ago. Hoping that Amazon make good novel product/brand like Ozeri on sale instead of all the other honestly mundane stuff that just makes you want to ignore the deals sometimes. Oh, and did I mention that Ozeri sent out an email and let me choose between a great kitchen scale and 4 set of gourmet glassware they make, both at about 30$ after discount. They send it out right after I responded and the scale, without even reading through the manual, works like a charm. I use it to measure my gaming mice weight at the moment. Not a fan of intricately calculated cooking. Buy Ozeri Product, and be blessed with their candid customer service and their promotional methods! edit: now the good thing about this, as it occurs to me when i continue to use my old carbon steel wok, is that a fry pan like this gives u ability to cook something flat out. a wok, however big for domestic use, cannot do that. and not to mention the size of a wok is just not a good feel for cooking small stuff like, frying couple eggs and some bread. edit: there are many people that will notice that albeit the general high reviews, a little closer look from the more careful buyers( or, willing to take more time than just looking at generic search results and ratings--and I assume that is the case for most people half intentionally buying quirk items like ceramic stuff?) So I want to share my view on this whole debate. Yes, Ozeri is not making perfect items. No, that does not mean u guys should intentionally flame or praise without reason. I stand by Ozeri for their candidness, even if that means they are sending out freebies and asking for good reviews. They are not forging reviews, the customers are responsible for writing responsible reviews instead of just getting all jazzed cus they might get freebies as I did. Ozeri is a major innovator and end user seller who contributes to the promotion of high quality, asthetically pleasing, light, toxic free, non stick cooking. It takes a lot of effort to combat the teflon regime, but they did it, and now you guys starts to flame them. If anything I shall thank them, and if you have not done your thanks, don't even start with flaming.

I had high expectations for this over-priced pan. We treated it well, kept the felt padding in it when not in use, seasoned it according to instructions, never used metal utensils in it. Now everything sticks to it. I mean everything. Unless the pan is swimming in oil or butter, everything just sticks. NOT recommended. Disappointing.
