Heretics Of Dune: The Fifth Dune Novel

One of the Herbert’s triumphs
Long after the original Dune, this is a worthy follow-up. It’s slow pace at the start is harder work but soon gives way to the various episodic story lines converging on the central plot. Once you have the main characters in your head it goes at a swift pace. The content may stimulate many ideas about human progress and the way our cultures operate — or simply provide an excellent sci-fi outing.

A book to recover from the spice agony of book 4...
I have taken about 20 years to get over the tedium of God Emperor of Dune. This volume has made up for all that heavy philosophising. There are several points where I didn't want to put it down and I carried on reading it despite needing to go to sleep!.I am almost at the end of the book now and the few pages remaining are my only concern: I'd like to think that there was quite a lot more to go. I guess this means that this is a really good extension to the Dune saga.

Fans of the Dune series will love it.
After I read, quite a few years ago, the first Dune novel, I was immediately hooked to the characters and world of Arrakis (Dune). Fans of sci-fi, like me, will put this book and the entire series as a landmark on how to tell a story and make the reader think about the story long after they put the book down.A must read.

Another great Dune novel.
I loved this books prequel 'The God Emperor Dune' but I loved this one even more. If I could give it more than five star ratings I would. It has more free flowing structure than its predecessor. I felt it easier to read without too much of the riddle speech done by the God Emperor Leto II. As a bonus, up until the last few chapters, I didn't even know how the book was going to finish. Up next Chapter House Dune. Thank you Frank Herbert for another great book !!!

Heretics is much better than I was expecting
Heretics is much better than I was expecting. It was great to see events in the eyes of another faction in the Dune universe, and lovely to follow through the threads of Leto 2nd's "Golden Path". Highly recommended, particularly to those who were put off after God Emperor.
