Q: Do you just throw these away and they will biodegrade or is there a specific disposal process?

Biodegradable is in most cases nothing more than a marketing tactic. The reality is if it’s being thrown away in a trash bag, probably plastic, and sent to a landfill (as most trash is) it’s not going to biodegrade anytime soon as landfills are built to prevent biodegradation so nothing toxic leaches into groundwater, at least in the U.S. Being biodegradable is valuable if a bag of trash broke and this ended up in nature somehow, but that’s really it.

Q: How "biodegradable" are these? are they compostable? safe for ca green bin w/ yard&food waste? or do they take decades to breakdown in a landfill?

I went to the brand’s website and it says they are compostable.

Does the job but smells bad

The towels are very soft and high quality, but they have a really bad smell. I'm not sure if this is normal or if I received a defective unit, but I can’t see myself ordering these again.
