Affordable and does the job
I am a 40-year-old semi-athletic dude who just started tennis, and to get better, I wanted a ball machine to practice hitting. I was shocked to see that most ball machines are $500-$1000+. I took a chance on this even though it had below-par reviews, and it turned out to be perfect for the task. 1. First and foremost, do not compare it to the $1000+ ball machines. 2. It has four strengths/ranges that it spits out the balls. The max is about 15 feet out. I use the setting that spits it out 10 feet with a bounce of about 3 feet in height, which is perfect for hitting. 3. Its ball rack holds about 10 balls. I got an additional rack that can be attached to this one and will have another 15 balls, for a total of 25. The extra plastic rack costs 50 dollars from a different seller. That was a rip-off, but it is worth the investment. The 25 balls take approximately 3.5 minutes to go through with 10-second intervals, making it perfect for practicing your strokes. 4. Another reviewer mentioned noise. It makes a noise as it winds up and then spits out each ball. When I tried it out in my garage, the noise seemed loud, but when I took it out to the tennis court, it became negligible, and you almost forget it. People playing tennis in the next court were much louder than this machine noise. 5. I ended up paying $150 for this machine and the extra rack, and it is perfect for practicing your strokes. It feels solid and should last. I am extremely happy, as it meets my needs at a steal of a price when compared to the expensive ball machines.

Weak
It is weak. It barely gets the ball in the air. Maybe good for goofing around in your livingroom.

It cannot shoot balls over the net, it does not make that claim.
This product is fantastic. You just need to turn it off when the last ball fires. I could not find additional ball feed baskets to increase the capacity. Just wish it had a bit more power. It helps me to improve my swing and allows me to work on one thing at a time. After a year I still use it regularly. Buy good quality batteries and they will last.

Great for mini tennis
Have to set up on same side as player but this is great for drills or even mini tennis for the ball tossed. Has to be on one side of the net we can’t get it adjusted to shoot further. It does have limits but the price point and portability make this a winner. My daughter can easily carry this with her other gear. Even holds the balls. Very easy to set up of course battery powered depending on how much you use can take a lot of batteries.

Not great. Just ok
The product is lightweight plastic and cheaply made. The launcher only sends the tennis ball a few feet. This is great for young children learning tennis as an example but not worth the money if you’re looking for a legit ball launcher to practice your tennis game.

Not a good product
I bought this machine but the balls only came out at a very limited range and it did not allow me to make my shots. It turned off after 3 minutes of using it and does not allow the batteries to be recharged. I think it is not a good product. I do not recommend it.

Not bad for the price
The automatic ball dispenser works great. It’s a little flimsy for my liking, it’s held up so far but I feel as though it could easily break given any resistance or if it were to fall over. Product was easy to put together. Overall happy with the purchase.

Great reps training aid
Great for beginners looking to get in reps. Like another review said it's simulates the same motion as an instructor tossing the ball in front of you. I'm 40 y/o and just got into tennis. Ive had two lessons but needed something to practice my motion. It's perfect for getting reps in at the local park. It runs on 4 D batteries but also had a power cord option. It has 4 levels. I also purchased the extensions from another brand and can hold 18+ balls at a time. Really excited to be able practice on my own with having to find a partner.

This is NOT a professional machine (Lobster, Gamma, etc). This is a barebones, functional, tennis machine that mimics same side of the court, hand toss feed, from a instructor. This machine needs to be placed 6-8 feet in front of you, same side. I put it in the middle of the court beside a ball hopper. Angle it to the fore hand or back hand. You hit ten balls, hit the power button off: reflect on what went well / not well on your 10 balls. It literally is more than I could have hoped for at the price point and is 100% able to fulfil my needs. I've played competitive as a junior (under 18). I used to play guys on the varsity team all the time during undergrad. I'm now a busy professional employee, even more busy dad, who has difficulty meeting at a scheduled time (not many people are willing to accept a 30 minutes show up window), who has not practiced enough (lacking consistency), but can still juice a ball with a full swing. This machine is short (2 feet tall...net is 3 (middle taped) or 3.5 (sidelines) feet high), light weight, doesn't kill the D batteries that fast (you can buy chargeable or better use a power bank). If I can play with somebody great, but if it is late, with the Friday lights on: I can get some swings in, re-live the nostalgia of my childhood, and get some valuable exercise. Again, this mimics and hand fed ball from an instructor. Very ironically, it even has some variation in the ball fed; sometimes a few inches short, sometimes an inch deep, sometimes the spin is great than the last one. Given this price point > I'd literally given it 11/10. Don't know how durable, it's been a month, but it meets all my needs and I am very happy to have it. Just need it to last 2 years ideally, and I'll be happy..I'd even live with 1 full year. Should be great for kids / 1st time players. If you have $2k to spend, yes, a pro machine will do you well (club going to let you plug it in?).....otherwise, this is a very affordable alternative with likewise reduced expectations.

It didn’t have the power to shoot a ball over the net. I have returned the machine

not a good product. you need it to be plugged in to power outlet entire time. so it is useless in most situation.

Do not function for most of the play areas at need to be connect to a power source all the time.

The range is far too short to be of any use except maybe for throwing balls to a very slow dog.
