Great adventure pack. Must have for collectors. Best AP of Haradrim Cycle in my opinion.

Great expansion, but the quests are just crazy difficult. I think you'll have to sink at least $150 dollars into the game before you even stand a chance.

Excellent product. Exactly as expected. I'm looking forwards to playing the cup campaign over Christmas. 😊

I have reviewed a ton of Netrunner Data Packs. And people seemed to like the style I used. I rated all the cards on a 1 – 5 scale (technically I used a 0 – 5 scale I guess), based on how useful they were. That only covers some of the cards in a LOTR Adventure Pack though. There is also a quest attached to each one. It would be hard to value the cards on their own for that. So what I will do with the quest is give it a 0 to 5 rating on the fun scale. Sorry, long intro I know. The Hunt For Gollum Adventure Pack was the first release in the first cycle for LOTR LCG. How are the player cards? Let’s check them out. Disclaimer – I don’t own all the packs or expansion for the game. So I will be basing a lot of my opinions on how the cards fared at the time of release and over the first cycle. So if a card is amazing in the current meta, I won’t be rating it based on that. So without further ado to the cards! *Bilbo Baggins (4) I was a little annoyed the first time I saw him because his stats do not equal his threat value. But after further thought, his card drawing ability is pretty sweet. Great in 2 player and even better in solo play. *Dunedain Mark (5) Ok, maybe it’s just one strength, but wow is it effective when you get 2 on one character. *Campfire Tales (1) Pay one and draw a card. Meh. It does scale better with more players. But with one player it just breaks even. Not excited about this card. *Winged Guardian (5) Wow! Fantastic blocker. Got to love the eagles. *The Eagles Are Coming (3) In the right Tactics deck it has some great card draw. *Westfold Horse-Breaker (2) Only really good if you don’t own 3 copies of Unexpected Courage. I prefer the Wandering Took as an ally to this guy though. *Mustering the Rohirrim (1) Ugh. Rohan is not developed enough still to make this card that good. Not the best tutor. *Rivendell Minstrel (5) Decent quester and song tutor. What’s not to like!? Love her! *Strider’s Path (0) No. Why would you not just use Secret Paths? Oh wait, you would. Hard pass on this card! *Song of Kings (5) All the songs are awesome. You can play a mono sphere deck and run Leadership still. It’s pretty amazing. All the songs are good. So just choose the ones you need. The Hunt for Gollum quest (3.5) Good quest. It can be brutal though. If you have a couple Hunters From Mordor out and suddenly a clue comes into play, things can get deadly for your party real quick. Or if all the clues get discarded as shadow effects it can turn into a long slog as well. It is a good quest, but it can be very rough. Also don’t fall victim to the third stage of this quest. Make sure you show up to it with a clue! Still, a good start to the game. Final rating (5) I love this pack. The quest is fun and it contains some pretty staple cards in the game. A song and minstrel. Not a bad start to the cycle. Worth buying!
