Walt Disney World: A Portrait of the First Half Century: 50 Years of the Most Magical Place on Earth (Disney Editions Deluxe)

The book is so beautiful and fun to read. The detail is amazing and I wish Disney released these types of history books for all parks. The delivery was pretty quick. I would just say be mindful the delivery is Royal Mail and not Amazon.

Beautiful book, it's just a shame it arrived damaged, I would have expected such expensive heavy book to be in better packaging than shoved in the standard cardboard wrap.

Absolutely beautiful book, waited a long time to get this as was out of stock everywhere, fantastic value for money, great quality and although not very well wrapped for delivery it actually arrived in perfect condition which I’m surprised by, very happy with it overall 👍🏻

The media could not be loaded.  The copy I received had a rip in the sleeve and looked a bit dirty. I did buy a cheaper copy from a Seller, but can't view the description now to see if this was detailed. I still paid a lot for the book so I'm disappointed.Other than that the book itself looks nice, lots of pictures and lots of text. Not the best description I know but it's only just arrived so not read any yet!

This book was totally worth the wait. Although this order was delayed over a month it is well worth it. Its just arrived and I was one of the lucky ones to get it delivered pristine (sorry to the others that didnt).I did have concerns of what condition this would arrive but I was so relieved for it to be in excellent condition.The book itself is fantastic. Packed full of lovely photos and detail of Walt Disney World over the past 50 years. This will be added to our collection with great pride.

This book has been much anticipated, I’ve had it on pre order since it was announced. I have to say from first impressions it was definitely worth the wait. The content is well researched (even including footnotes and bibliography) and the photographs are stunning. A true celebration of the last 50 years of Disney World history. As others on here have mentioned my book arrived with a dented corner due it being inadequately packaged - but I have picked this up separately with amazon as it is no reflection of the quality of the book and the contents itself.

The top corners and spine of the book were damaged but the packaging was fine so it must have been damaged before shipping. I tried getting a replacement but that was damaged as well so I tried a third replacement and it also arrived damaged.I could try a fourth replacement but I think it would be a waste of my time. I want to keep the book but I am incredibly disappointed that all three that I tried were damaged when I paid for a new hardback.Don't waste your money on a new one, buy a used one and resign yourself to the fact that it will probably arrive damaged.

This book is not a patch on the book "Walt Disney's Disneyland" by Chris Nichols, although both books are of similar size. If you want a book about the Disney parks , then the Disneyland book is the one to get.Both parks have a lot in common, although Walt Disney World has Epcot, Animal Kingdom, Hollywood Studios and water parks as well.Whilst the Disneyland book is sumptuously peppered with large (many page-size) photos, the Walt Disney World book is filled with a great many mainly tiny pictures. With the Disneyland book you really get a feel for the atmosphere and the magic. With the Walt Disney World book it's more like reading a comic with text. The magic just doesn't shine through. I know what a magical place Walt Disney World is, and I'm afraid this book doesn't do it justice.
