This Tesa tape is exactly what I needed for wiring harness work. It sticks securely, doesn’t peel back with heat, and has that professional OEM look you see in factory looms. easy tape to work with. it works great with any harness you want to bundle up and protect. not thick but durable against friction and heat, and doesn't leave my wiring tacky like electrical tape. decent value with how much tape you get. i would 100% buy again for all of my projects

I've stuck and re-stuck this without washing my hands at least 20x to hold battery terminals down and its truly amazing how well it holds. I've noticed for best results, stick it back on to the backside of itself if you are trying to hold down a spring-back connection like I am. Overall pretty great stuff. I haven't tested it with high heat yet but for normal "electrical tape" it's done well in performance and does not leave a sticky residue like other tapes in 90 degree temps. Lengthwise cuts didn't work too well when removing and reapplying as it slightly frayed so buy the width according to your needs. No frays with normal cut ends. I'm no tape expert by any means but I'll never need another brand from what I can see. I'll have some engine needs shortly and if it impresses me there I'll update this review.

well its made of cloth i used it to cover exposed copper wiring on my EVSE juicebox charging cable its already showing the bare copper again after moving the cable to/from the vehicle charging a few months now this is more for engine compartment, under dash wiring, etc. where it will not be exposed to abrasion or movement

Perfect for the orginal look in my 50 year old corvette engine compartment. Easy to use. Sticks well and can be rewound easily for the perfect look

I know people have a hard time getting excited over tape or wire looms, but this stuff is the premium tape used by Mercedes and BMW. Not only does it provide a unique finished look to the wiring harnesses, but once applied offers very nice heat and abrasion protection. How do I know this??? Well, I have used this stuff on welding cables where they are prone to rubbing on corners and towards the end of the cables that see a lot of scuffing. As in being used and pulled over various items while welding or jig placement. This stuff works very well, and I have been buying it from a local Mercedes dealer. Buy it from the Amazon, the cost savings is phenomenal and it is EXACTLY the same tape, just arrives in a plain bag rather than some fancy embossed box with Mercedes emblem on it. Buy some, and then you'll be prepared. Give is as a gift. Serious, this tape is amazing, and it works very well on wire harnesses too!! Marion.

Works well. Has about the same consistency as electrical tape but in a fabric material.
