Great for fine hair. It’s hard to find a product to give my fine hair some volume because most products end up weighing it down. However, Joico has done it. I just lift my hair and spritz it around and allow it to set for a couple minutes then just uses my finger tips to fluff it up. Stayed all day. No stickiness. Smells clean ( the scent is extremely light, which I love). I haven’t noticed any residue or difficulty when washing my hair. Over all this is a great product for fine hair.

Works exactly as it should. Doesn't take too much to get the job done. Use sparingly.

Finally a product that provides great lasting volume for my thin flat hair. It didn’t leave it sticky and dried out like so many other products I have tried. I highly recommend for those like me who want some natural looking lasting volume without stickiness and dryness.😀

My hair dresser recommended this to me as a girl with thin wavy hair. I spray it on my hair after I put my heatless curling rod in for the night and it hold my curls most of the day (I live in Florida where humidity is insane so 🤷🏼‍♀️). It doesn't have any kind of strong scent, and it works really well for volume or any kind of wavy styling. It leaves some texture, but doesn't make your hair sticky or crunchy, which I love!

Why does it have to have such a strong odor? It smells like Red Vine licorice. Too much!!!

I have fine har & love Joico shampoos & conditioners. I was excited to try this "Hair shake" liquid to powder spray. For some reason, I was expecting the ball inside to change the liquid inside it to powder Before it hit my hair; which it does not. It was a surprise for it make my hair wet. You have to hold it & let it dry on its own or rub it until it dries. Which is tried both ways. In either case, it left my hair VERY sticky & DULL! it was very shiny before I used the product, so that made me pretty unhappy too. I will say that i gave it this 1 star (Because you have to) & because of all the stickiness it caused, it does give the volume it said it'd give, but it looked so gross, like it hadn't been washed in a while. Personally, if you have very fine to fine hair, I wouldn't recommend this particular product.

Been using this product for years. Hope it’s never discontinued.

Disappointed with this product

I have tried many different types of powered and this is by far the best. It streams as liquid and dries instantly giving great lift! No chalky colour of heavy residue.
