Smooth beard trimmer, good battery life
Only used it a few times so far but so far: Does a smooth shave with and without the guard attachment; very smooth!works well; battery life seems great, I charged it for like 15 minutes and could use it right away; it feels good and solid and sturdy; easy to open and clean; it's nice that it is waterproof. The small case is nice for travel. I do not think it would be good for edging at 0.4MM shortest length, I mean it is enough to set a target line or something but you really need a razor or a shaver that goes fully down to the skin. But it is a beard trimmer, not shaver, so that is OK, I shave with something else anyways. Overall very happy with the purchase. Would be nice for $100 if it came with a couple other guards just in case yours broke though or if you wanted more length. If durability is an issue I will report back but so far it is great.

The best consumer electronics device I've ever owned
The Philips Norelco 9000 is perhaps the best consumer electronics device I've ever owned. I bought this in 2022 to replace the trusty Philips Norelco BeardTrimmer 7300 that I had purchased way back in 2012. Now, three years later, I am moved to write this review to extol the virtues of this wonder. The battery life is astonishing. I use it regularly to trim my full beard and other facial hair, and I honestly think I've only ever had to recharge the battery a handful of times, maybe once a year? It has never nicked my skin. Although the trimming head is wide enough for heavy duty chores, it is surprisingly precise. It is very handy and travels extremely well. The adjustment for trimming hair length is stays set in place unless you decide to easily change it. Maybe in 2032 I'll be ready for my next Philips Norelco trimmer, but until then I am delighted that I have this.

Nice beard trimmer
I started growing my beard and needed a new trimmer and had a family recommend this 1. My first impression is pretty good. The battery lasts a couple hours and it’s great not having it corded. The trimmer itself comes with 1 guard but you only need it if you have a very long beard, otherwise you don’t need it and can adjust the size on the trimmer itself (top number on the dial for without guard). It’s not heavy and it’s something can be cleaned easily and put away in the small compact hard case it comes with; the case unfortunately doesn’t fit the charging wire which was disappointing. I do think it’s a bit expensive for what you get ($99)

Great beard trimmer.
The best beard trimmer I’ve used. I recently left my Manscape trimmer on vacation (I glad I did). This by far a better product. It’s trims with ease and the adjustments are perfect. I’ve only had it for a couple of weeks but it appears to be a quality trimmer. Very impressed!

Yes. FINALLY a good beard trimmer
I've been looking for a high quality beard trimmer for years and years. It didn't seem to me that anyone was interested in making a Sonicare-quality trimmer, something that will last a decade +. I've tried the i-Stubble (two different versions), manscaped, some other podcast DTC brand that escapes me, all claiming to be premium. They were are made of plastic with crappy ceramic/dull blades, made to be replaced when the warranty expires. I'd use them until the blades wouldn't cut, then try to buy a better one.The entire time, I've been using the same Sonicare. It's over 10 years old, never any issues. I don't know why it didn't occur to me to try Philips for a beard trimmer. This is Sonicare level. All-metal blade and guide assembly, nothing to grow brittle and shatter. It cuts in one pass, likely because the tolerances are staying tight longer. Simple, robust adjustment mechanism. Waterproof cleaning. And it's a bargain if you're in the habit of replacing your beard trimmer every two years like I was.

Easily the best beard trimmer I've owned
Easily has the best set of cutters I've ever used, adjustment mechanism appears to be very solid and reliable, battery power is great and it has a nice heft to it. Adjustment range is good, but probably not the right tool for bushy beards. Mine's definitely not like that so it works great. Only dig I have is the battery power meter only seems to show when the unit is powered on, and I rarely think to check it as a result.

Pulls and rips the hairs off of your face
I wanted to like this trimmer, I really did. I was sick of having 28 different attachments to manage and sure enough, the one clip and twist system on this is fantastic. I also love how many different length adjustment options there are. Battery life seems solid and it feels good in the hand.Where this all goes wrong is that it pulls, rips and tears the follicles out of your beard in ruthless fashion. When inhad my beard shorter (around a 6 setting), I found that if I applied the lubricant to the blades before every shave it would prevent it. Annoying, but doable. But I just got done trimming at an 8.5 and I can say without a doubt, it was the most painful trimming experience I’ve ever had, despite the fact that I applied the lubricant twice.I’m past the return date now so I guess I’ll have to keep it and only use it if I keep my beard on the short side.
