Good Faeries/Bad Faeries

This book will be a perfect birthday gift for my daughter. Illustrations are interesting and well thought out. Discrimination matches product. It was delivered on time.

I love the pictures of the faeries. I gave this book to niece for a gift.

Awesome visuals, and a very interesting read. I also enjoy how it is formatted to be read both ways for good and bad faeries.

I love Brian Froud's art & having this big, beautiful book full of his faries is great! I bought this used, but I'd swear it's new - this book is in perfect condition!

Thank goodness this book arrived on a snowy day, when there was nothing I absolutely had to do. One quick peek inside, and I was sucked in, and spent the rest of the day in Faery. I recognized many of these creatures immediately, especially some of the bad faeries, such as the Bad Hair Day Faery, the Fee Lion, the Ear Poker, and the Out-of-the-Blue Faery. Terri Windling’s prose seems the inevitable accompaniment to Brian Froud’s artwork, and remains true to the stated premise of the book: Faeries are not a fantasy but a connection to reality. This book will not vanish into my library and be forgotten. And surely there is a faery responsible for such things!

This book is very cool. It starts on either side going towards the centre of the book. One half is of the “good faeries” then when you get to the middle it’s a double page illustration (shown in my photos) then you have to flip the book and start reading the “bad faeries”. The author Brian Froud also helped design the goblins and faeries in the movie the Labrinth. Anyone born in the 80s probably knows this movie. Growing up my mom had the collectors edition original faeries book. Eventually I’d like to buy one. Once I save up or maybe ask my husband to get it for me as a holiday gift. The collectors edition I’m talking about are selling used from some sellers for around $160-$200. But since it has deep childhood memories for me, it’s 100% worth it

El contenido en sí es DIVINO. Lo tuve hace años pero me lo robaron. Ahora, las 2 estrellas es porque vino bailando dentro de un caja inmensa y vino golpeado en todas sus esquinas, lo que no me dio gusto. Paquetería no tuvo cuidado y así me lo dejaron.

O conceito de ter o livro dividido entre seres mágicos bons e maus e com o livro a virar ao contrário para fazer esta divisão.Para os amantes de arte de fantasia é fascinante ver neste livro a parte de explicação da criação desta arte, assim como a arte em si contida em todas as páginas.
