Pretty blooming clever if you ask me
Amazing technology. If you turn in one direction they go in then if you want them out turn in the other direction.As fasteners go I think this design could go places.

Different countersink profile to the originals
The countersink profile of these screws is not exactly the same as the countersink holes in my son's Squire-Strat's pick-guard, and so they stand a little proud. We will cut new countersink holes in the pick-guard but we shouldn't have to really as we bought the genuine items. Hopefully these will not rust as the originals have.

Good and no cross threading.
Needed to attach a new scratch plate on a fender jaguar. Right size screws and don't cross thread or the top of screw heads get mullared like cheapo ones do.
