This product worked as advertised! Installed in 2018 wrangler JL. You do need to use either tazer, superchip or other guner to enable the cargo cam on uconnect 8.4. there was a delay in the enable that I didn't expect (12 hours) but full function afterwards! Install took me about an hour.

Bought this on Prime Day for $80. It was way cheaper than the kit offered by Z Automotive. However, this kit does not include instructions, and the camera mount for the grill is a joke. I have a 2020 JT Gladiator. The only mounting hardware included with the camera kit is a plastic washer and nut. I was able to wedge it in, but the camera angle is way off (points too high and is not secure). Also, the video image flickers. Since no instructions were included, I used the ones for Z Automotive. I contacted the seller via Amazon requesting proper mounting hardware and instructions. They responded asking for a picture of the grill - which I sent, but no follow up. I gave it three stars for the low price and the convenience of not having to shop for individual components. I will have to rig up my own camera mount. Update 7-16-21: Added one star since seller contacted me and refunded $10 for issue with mounting. I made it fit by making a clip/bracket out of thin sheetmetal.

Installation was easy, followed instructions, activated the cargo cam via tazer, still just a blue screen.

First off, the input is only 720p, so don’t expect this to match the 1080p reverse cam. Secondly, the instructions are crap so don’t waste your time with them, watch a YouTube clip on it and get to work. No special tools required and the install took about 30 min. I used the Tazer mini to activate it and it works perfectly! I will update on longevity after a few runs and washes.

Installed on my 2020 JLR, works perfectly. If I may share a little advice when installing, be sure to be very gentle when removing the red plastic locking clip from the plug that goes into the radio unit. This plastic tends to be brittle, so it is good to remove it evenly with a small flat head screw driver to prevent snapping. Also, if the video does not come on once you enable the camera through your Jeep dealer or Tazer, I would troubleshoot the red and black wires that you have to crimp together first. Sometimes the crimping does not make a good connection, such as in my experience. Other than those pointers, this is a good product with excellent customer service! And you can’t beat the price

The picture on this thing is so bad! It’s not worth the money at all! Invest in a better one. You have to buy the mini taser to go with it ($350) just to get it to work for a Jeep, so overall cost needed to make this work with the poor picture isn’t worth it!

This camera has a very wide clear field of view. It was easy to install with the factory hardware added a dab of my own loctite just to ensure no movement and ran provided cables which were already in a loom for protection. Great system

It's comes with everything needed to plug and play, infact it even has the factory style plugs which inwas not expecting ! Super easy to do and video is actually not bad at all. Ok there is a small lag but then again factor that Into your drive and you're ok. It's better than not having on at all. I'm super pleased and would hands down recommend it ! Yes you need a Tazer JL mini for jeep but I already had that. I'm super stoked and thankful for not having to by the ZAUTOMOTIVE one. It's Dyer Approved !

camera quality is bad, the image is all distorted. I ran the same power to front and back camera. the rear cam works great. this front one always got distorted image. I tried to avoid all other cables when running wires. nothing work.

Good quality of the product and also suitable for my 2012 JKU. I decided to install a front camera since I had to make a u-turn in a narrow forest road last year. I jumped out of the car several times to measure the distance to the cliff in my front, the rear camera helped me to view the big rock at that moment. After 10 minutes, I was sweated and finished this uturn. It's easy to find a front grill to fix the front camera and a new headunit with the front/rear camera system make me full of confidence for the offroad.

Item installed on 2019 JLU Rubicon by a professional installer that actually installs vehicle cameras for Dodge, Jeep, Ram etc. Tazer installed and Cargo Cam activated on Uconnect screen. No video, just a blue screen with "Camera system unavailable" Both pin outs tried, neither one works. This is a complete waste of your hard earned money for some people. It seems to work for some and not for others. It should be more consistent and work for all.

Install wasn't too bad. The zip ties that came with this are essentially useless as they break when you look at them. Fit on my 2021 Gladiator. The camera quality in comparison to my rear view is really awful. Probably to be expected at this price point though. If I was to do it again I would opt for a better camera and pay the extra amount.
