Lasted a bit longer than expected.
I really enjoyed this bench. I think it’s pretty good quality, but mine did break after about 4 months.I’m a heavy guy, so I understand that it broke. If I get another one, it will be a different company. This one is probably GREAT for small people.

Nice!
I like it. It works and is sturdy and convenient. I fly with it in my carry-on. Wish I would have bought one with a butt cushion but I can figure something out.

Unsafe. It is pretty, but only good for cosmetic / decorative usage.
The product failed within a few minutes of light usage. The screws are not capable of holding any weight and actually aren't large enough to hold the hinge in place. The legs both fully collapsed within a few minutes. As I was in a kneeling position when it failed, the bench injured muscles in one of my legs and one of my arms. DO NOT BUY / DO NOT USE. Very unsafe.

Good product… after a bit of DIY.
This bench appears to be real, if young, teak wood. It has a stain and sealant applied to make it look like it’s from an older tree, and to improve surface durability.Of the two I bought, one had the stain applied unevenly, so I sanded the piece back to the bare wood. (You’ll know you’ve found it when the sandpaper stops gumming up with resin.) That looked a lot better. Then I rubbed a thin layer of linseed oil over it, waited a few hours, and wiped the excess off. Silky smooth the next day. After doing that weekly for about four months, it will have a nice patina that can be maintained with a fresh layer perhaps every other month. I’ll probably do the same to the second one, so that they match.Just make sure the legs are held fully extended before you put any weight on it at all. I got careless the other day and collapsed the leg of one—I sat back down with the leg off-kilter and the hinge screws ripped right out of the seat.I don’t feel like faffing around with superglue & baking soda just to make the damaged screw holes sound enough to drill out and jam screws back into. So my current plan is to remove both sets of hinges and glue the legs in place. I don’t need the super-compact storage, even though it was nice to have.
