Long live salad!
I bought these months ago for myself, and was surprised that they do indeed work extremely well. Leafy veggies stay fresh for two weeks or more. It's a long haul to a grocery store where we live, so this saves us trips, gas and avoids wasted veggies and fruits. Besides the green leafy veggies, it also works extremely well with berries. The only thing I found that I didn't think it worked on as well was radishes. The leaves got gross in a couple of days, so not I just trim the radishes before I store them. I've had parsley that looks as fresh at three weeks as it did the day I bought it.I will continue buying these. I also bought a set for my sister. Next time I purchase, I may buy more for other members of the family. They certainly save a lot of money on produce.

Everyone should own these
My wife and I only shop for groceries every other week. We used to have a problem where we would have fresh fruits and vegetables around for a few days or a week, but then we'd go about a week where the only vegetables we'd eat were frozen. Worse yet, we had to plan our produce buying perfectly to avoid wasting a lot of it.Somehow we came across these and decided they were worth trying, and they work just as advertised. Drop them in your crisper drawer with your fruits and vegetables, and they last at least twice as long. We now have no problem keeping fresh produce around for a couple weeks (and longer). This has the benefit that we can keep more produce around, too, as we don't have to plan in advance how we're going to use it since it will last so much longer. They recommend replacing them every 3 months, and since they're fairly inexpensive I have no problem sticking to that schedule. They probably last longer than that since I don't notice any loss of efficacy over time, but for a few dollars each, does it matter? We've been happily using these products for about 2 years now and have gotten many friends and family to use them, too.

Not bad! It does what it claims to do!
I am on my 1st month of using the ExtraLife Produce Preserver Disks and I gotta say it has extended the life of my refrigerated produce. The trick is to take them out of their bags (unless their already in a bag that prolongs their freshness which I've seen on some lettuces that I've bought at the grocery store). I've noticed that the ones left in the Grocery store clear produce bags go bad faster than the ones I just dumped in the fresh produce tray with this disk. I'm impressed and I'm glad I made this purchase. There are 3 disks in the set and like most refrigerators mine has 2 fresh produce trays so I actually have 1 extra. But their good for 3 months each so I think I'll just go ahead and put this on my Amazon recurring order every 3 months. Great purchase and pays for itself by helping me lessen the food I have to throw away. Totes!

Money saver
These really work. I usually have to throw away produce and vegetables after a week. I have broccoli that is going 3 weeks strong! I can't believe it. Fruit lasts two weeks. I will definitely purchase again.Note: Make sure to understand how this works and read the directions. These disks capture ethylene gas. Fruit produces lots of ethylene (which makes them ripen), but vegetables are more sensitive to ethylene and rot faster when exposed to it. For maximum results, make sure to separate you fruits and vegetables and never put your bananas in the frig (you can't stop their ripening process). I put a disk in the fruit drawer and make sure they are segregated from "general population" and when I am looking to ripen fruit I do so outside of the refrigerator.

SAD &TRUE
I've been searching for 2 years attempting to replace the 12 I've exhausted.Yippee! On Line Search produced 3 Retailers who sell these.Except that, like Amz, there are not available anywhere. Walmart posts 10 separate places where I may look at them.BB&B, also found in the Google Search and where I'd first discovered them (in their Boston store) claims to carry them, but it's like all the others. Bait and Switch. I vaguely remember calling the manuf., Extralife, quite a while ago to inquire about status of Green Discs and was informed that these discs are no longer being manufactured. Finally, something that works. So of course they're discontinued. Nothing else has ever worked, not even BlueBalls apple thing.

awesome money saver - great gifts
These work so well! My produce lasts much longer than it used to. My mom and sisters loved it so much that I gave them some for Christmas. I like that they come in 3 packs because I've shared with people who come and visit and peak in my produce drawers and are curious. I've gotten a couple people hooked on them and probably saved them a ton of money. They last a bit longer than they say but definitely change them periodically.

It works, all right, but ...
These Produce Preserver Disks do work -- they do preserve your produce longer than it would otherwise last. In that regard, they deserve a five-star rating. However, I have deducted a couple of stars from my rating, because of the "bells-&-whistles" that ExtraLife has added to this product that don't work. These new disks have a little "button" that, allegedly, when pressed, will start a timer, causing the button to gradually change color to let you know when the disk has "died." Not only does the button not change color, but it has a water-soluble adhesive holding it to the disc, so that it falls off the first time the disk is used with your produce. So, if you purchase these ExtraLife Produce Preserver Disks, just know that you will have to keep track of how long you have been using them. (They are supposed to last about three months.) You might also want to consider buying the BluApple produce preservers, which have replaceable packets inside -- so you won't have to throw away the plastic containers, like you do with the ExtraLife disks -- and which will provide you with an e-mail reminder when the packet needs replacing, if you register the purchase on line. I like the fact that I am not contributing more plastic to the landfill with the BluApple produce preservers -- they offer a more environmentally-friendly option.

Seems to work well
As far as I can tell, these seem to work well. Very easy to use; just peel the sticker, write today's date on the label and put it in the refrigerator.

Helps, but not as effective as advertised.
The item arrived on time and matched the description in form. However, the effectiveness is not as dramatic as advertised. Food does last fresher for slightly longer, but not by that much.

These disks are working great. I used the green bags in the past
These disks are working great. I used the green bags in the past. After a few suggestions from friends I decided to switch to these. I am happy with the results and have already ordered even more. We have 2 fridges and I use these disks in all the produce drawers.

They work and they save money.
We save a lot of money and time with this. Saves the product and the time it takes to go to the store to replace them. Got one in each crisper. They work.
