Just like oem
This tool fit just like oem. Note: when installing timing chains and phasers on the 2.4 ecotec engine, this tool is used in order to aid installation and prevent too much torque to be put on the chain while torquing to yield at 22lb ft + 100 degrees. In other words you should still use a 24 mm wrench on the camshaft hex to hold it in place while tightening. I worked on these at the dealership level for decades and even the oem tool will get damaged if you just rely on the pegs to hold the sprocket while you tighten. Use common sense and you will be alright.

Worked well.
Works as described

Cheap metal.
First time I used it, and the exhaust side tab broke right off. Should have known. It does feel like a thin cast aluminum, rather than a quality steel product.

Not for 2014 equinox
3 stars cause couldn't find tool for right year. Same engine but different timing systemShort cutted the cam gear. Put his tool in didn't line up. Did the job the long way to evioed potential damage. When tightening the cam bolt realized took still said I was a tooth off very frustrated but couldn't find the tool for the 2012 and up ( I believe that year) exhaust cam dowl is different position. Cars running good now but no help with this tool Probably would work for 2010 but didn't use
