How all toasters should be.
The Domus toaster is everything that many 2 slice toasters aren’t. - We tried one that was incapable of accommodating a slice from a very widely available UK loaf - pathetic! What’s more that toaster was more expensive than the Domus ( which isn’t cheap but is good value)It’s well made and feels solid; it’s large enough to take most commercial sliced bread without leaving acres of the slice unbrowned; it has a toasting scale of 1 - 10 which works from 5 as it’s starting point, so you can lengthen or shorten the toasting cycle depending on the freshness and nature of the material you’re toasting. It is consistent, so same setting, same degree of toastedness, time after time. The toaster has bagel and frozen buttons. Two minor niggles - it has an annoying gulley around each toast slot that collects toast crumbs and is difficult to empty, and the bright metal slot surround also tarnished quickly from the heat. These are very minor niggles and pale into insignificance when you’re faced with perfectly even, consistently cooked toast.Viva Domus!

Bread in, toast out.
This is a no-nonsense toaster for men, or people who identify as men. Or maybe just for people who like toast. You put bread in and this little machine turns it into toast. And it looks really manly as it does it. Grrrr! TOAST!

Good toaster
This toaster copes with larger sliced bread. Very even browning. Works with the cages to make toasted sandwiches. Only downside wish Dualit made these features available on their repairable British made range. This is made in China.

Premium toaster that slices actually fit properly.
A bit on the pricey side but the only one that regular bread fits into without poking out at the top, long enough slots to fit the bread sideways for an even cook, lift and look feature let's you peek at the progress without interrupting the cycle, also has a bagel button for one sided toasting, tested this out with burger buns, just place the side to be toasted towards the centre of the machine and press the bagel button.Toasts a single slice evenly, which some other toasters have issues with,Wish it came in black to match the rest of my appliances, aside from that very pleased with it.

Dualit in name may be not the same.... Shameful
Worth reading - I first came across Dualit in a commercial kitchen years ago....I really do wonder if there is a good Toaster out there, I have followed which reviews owned two Dualit Toasters and a kettle in recent years, two these are in the landfill sadly. Domus my recent purchase of two months, we its brown brown and makes toast but its not perfect, far from it.The Wife like plain white Warburtons it does a good job of this but thats where the fun stops, artisan and my favoured seeded breads of various sizes and it disappoints. My conclusion is pay what you can afford, choose what you like the look of and be prepared to buy another one, a four slice Breville of just two years old saw the elements fail in spots thus no even toasting. In a house of two adults poor show.

Unreliable
Unreliable, died after two years. Toaster did work ok but massively overpriced if it doesn’t last

Don’t buy an expensive one
I thought after buying cheaper models I would splurge on a dualit, had a few people saying they were the best, last a long time etc. so I bought one Eighteen months later it’s no good, only toasts one side. What a waste. So back to cheaper ones that last as long. Wouldn’t mind but it’s only used a couple of times a week.
