My 11 year old son has Sever's and plays soccer year round. Wearing the cleats for extended periods of time would aggravate his heels and there were times he had a difficult time making it through practices and games. We gave these heel cups a try after reading the reviews and have been very happy with them. His heels have not been bothering him after putting these in his cleats and any other shoe about a month ago. It wasn't a miracle cure. They did take some time of using them before the pain really minimized, at least a week, but he noticed a difference right away and his heels don't really bother him any more. Our biggest concern was the cups slipping inside his shoes and moving during soccer or basketball. He did mention that they moved a bit one of the first times he had them in for soccer, but no issues since. We are considering a couple of more pairs because he doesn't always remember to switch the heels between his regular sneakers, basketball sneakers, and soccer cleats. If we do, we will be ordering more of these. Everybody is different and everybody's results might not be the same, but they worked for my kid who had heel issues for at least a year and a half. Update June 2019....Insoles still helping my son. He is active and the insoles are lasting 4-6 months. We needed new insoles and ordered more. After a few months of active use they start to lose their tackiness, and the gel material starts to come apart. I don't view this as a negative because he destroys shoes like Godzilla destroys Tokyo. In addition to the beating he gives them, he often plays and practices on artificial grass. The black rubber pellets get into his shoes and don't help the life of the heel cups. We have to take them out and shake out rubber turf pellets before he puts them on. The pellets often stick to the cup or become wedged in the creases. Again...I don't view that as a negative against the product, just an example of reality. My son doesn't have heel pain any more, we just have learned that we may need to buy more of these 2 or 3 times a year ...which we're fine with since it does help his Sever's. Update July 2021...my son still sometimes will go through some heal pain with the Sever's, but we're still using these heel cups and his flare ups are really minimal compared to when he first had heel pain a couple of years ago. We've learned to just order these heel cups for every pair of shoes he wears regularly. The cups seem to last longer if we just permanently just keep them in a pair of shoes and don't move them. After about 4-8 months of use, we're usually putting new ones in depending on the use. The soccer cleats with rain, soaked shoes, and rubber pellets usually get replaced at a faster rate. After about 6 months or so of taking a beating in the soccer cleats, the tackiness on the bottom of the cup begins to fade and the dark blue rubber horseshoe on the bottom will start to separate. I consider that good quality for the beating they take. I've never had a problem after many pairs of these with the gel ever ripping, shredding, or pilling up.

These insoles made a huge difference for my child’s comfort during sports and daily activities. They fit perfectly in sneakers and provide great arch support and shock absorption. No more complaining about sore feet after long playdays! The traction bottom keeps them in place too. A must-have for active kids or growing feet.

These youth heel cups fit great in my son’s size 2 soccer cleat. He was sharing that he was having heel pain while playing soccer, and after using these heel cups, he has shared that the pain is not as bad. We are hopeful that over time, the heel cup helps to heal his heel pain. I’ll post again in a month with an update!

My daughter struggled with heel pain for months. The pain radiated from her heel initially and extended to her hamstring. We discovered she was suffering from calcaneal apophysitis (Sever's disease), significantly impacting her running pace and comfort. I purchased custom orthotics, booked massages, paediatric physio… but what made the biggest difference were there insoles. She experienced immediate relief and was back to running without pain. Such a simple, but incredibly effective product. This is a must, must buy for any parent whose child is suffering with heel pain that presents during athletic activities.
