Page 172 is blank. Supposed to be about Citrus Ponzu. Anyone else had that problem?

Unimpressed … not what I’d hoped for
The book is a very large collection of minor recipes, that then have to combined into another set of bigger ones. To use this book, you’ll need to have a fridge full of jam jars of odd sauces, and then head out to source all your main ingredients as well… it’s just not worth the effort.

Beautiful book but a lot of prep recipes required to make a meal
This is a gorgeous book, lots of enticing healthy recipes, at first glance easy too. However most of the recipes require ingredients that you also have to make using a recipe (which they include). For example the Shi’a shiok chicken recipe calls for shiok marinade, pickling liquor, spicy vinegar, raisukaree sauce among others which are all listed as separate recipes at the bavk. This is not a quick night meal unless you have made all the ingredients for each recipe beforehand. The recipes that don’t require the advanced prep are tasty and easy to make but they are also the ones you can make from a quick google search, like ramen noodles etc. The food photography is lovely and it’s a nice book to flip through. I’d only recommend if you are well versed in this type of cuisine and have a lot of the ingredients to hand or are willing to make your own

Missing page 172
I too am missing p172 in my hardback copy. Just wondering if the kindle version includes this page: it contains the recipe for cherry hoisin sauce in the sauces section of the book.

Wonderful book!
Be prepared to buy some ingredients or make some ingredients. I have a huge pantry of herbs and spices and oils and I still had to shop for more!! The recipes are easy to follow and each has a photo, which I happen to like. The recipes are beautiful and flavourful and taste like the real deal. Thank you Wagamama for all of the vegan recipes. They have made our lives better - we have at least 3 meals per week from this book now. Highly recommended.
