Gave as a gift to a friend in a retirement village
She loves it. She absolutely gushed about getting this and even sent pictures. I have purchased Pendleton blankets for years, but mostly when the operation was full bore in Pendleton Oregon (Eastern Oregon). Only buy the 100% wool. They have fallen on hard times over the years because people have gone to cotton or very thin wool. I have 15 of their full wool shirts that are gorgeous and never wear out. I still have a blanket of theirs both 25 years ago on sale for $150.... truly gorgeous craftsmanship...even art. It is tragic that they went to so many cotton prodocts. This particular blanket is great for camping. This and other blankets make great long lasting gifts. If storing them, there is nothing wrong with moth balls. Cedar planks and chips also work nicely. When you want to use them in winter, pull them out, hang them up in fresh air, and they are ready to go in a week or less. There is nothing like wool in that you stay warm even when it gets wet. The only enemy is moths... Moths do not get to them if ...if you use the blanket all of the time.

Nice blanket, but not very warm…
Nice blanket, but it has more of a cotton feel vs. wool. It has a nice weight, and is well made, but it’s not as warm as pure wool versions I own. It’s also larger than your average throw blanket. For what it is, again, it is very nice quality product, but if warmth is your primary focus, may not be the best blanket for you.

Excellent quality
Better than I expected. This blanket is heavy, thick, soft, and warm. Since I am very comfortable with washing wool items, I washed this blanket in my front loading washer on the "Hand Wash" cycle, spun it out well, and dried flat on my bed. It is even softer now and changed very little in size - at least I don't think it did. I didn't measure before washing, but label says it was 90 by 90 inches, it now measures 88 by 84 inches. It is the perfect size for my queen mattress and I'm delighted with the quality and everything about this. Made in Oregon, which is in the USA.... !! Edited to add: I said I am very comfortable washing woolens, I have done it for many years even when the label says dry clean only. It is a risk, but I have never had a bad outcome. I spin my own yarn and also machine wash my knitted items from handspun in my front loader washer on the hand wash setting. If you truly hand wash, whether in the sink with small items or in a washer that has a HAND WASH cycle - note that "DELICATE" is NOT the same and will felt your woolens! - hand washing is much easier, less toxic and makes the fabric softer which might be what is desirable in clothing items. Always dry flat and not in a clothes dryer. Note also that this manufacturer says "Dry Clean Only" and I am not recommending hand washing instead, just giving anecdotal information on my hand washing experience. If you do use your washer, and live with other people who might try to help you out, put a sticky note on the washer that the item should NOT be put into the dryer!

Extremely nice U.S. made wool blanket
I originally purchased this blanket in the Lake color because I loved the look and had never owned or seen a Pendleton blanket. I own two Woolwich wool blankets and I was willing to fork over the money for a compare. I can say that they're both very well made (in the U.S.) blankets with the Pendleton being slightly softer. I'm not saying the Woolwich is scratchy but it's not quite as soft as the Pendleton. So here's the issue I ran into with this blanket. The second my wife saw it she was under it every single night. After realizing I was never going to get to try this blanket out I bought a second one in green heather. It's just as beautiful a color as the Lake color and now I get to experience what sleeping beauty has been experiencing for the last couple of months. For a blanket that will surely outlive me, the price is fantastic. Wool has that strange ability to keep you warm in the winter but never hot because of it's ability to breathe. If you want a soft wool blanket look no farther.

Better then Expected
This is a great blanket. I have many Pendeltons ranging from the cheapo big-box store sold ones to the most $$$ they offer and love them all. I expected this to be a lower shelf product but was wrong. This is warm, light, and relatively inexpensive (inflation aside). I just ordered another in a larger size, and this makes four.

Amazing
This is worth the money. Not itchy and perfect size. I bought twin even though I have a queen bed. Perfect size for one person. Use it on top of a cotton sheet. I was sick of polyester crap and decided to invest in a good quality blanket.
