Works great.
I found a 100-year old, cast iron parlor stove. After wire-brushing the entire outside, I needed a way to keep it from reverting back to a rusty condition. The way such appliances were managed in the distant past was to apply a light wax with non-combustible color. That's what this product is. The black is supplied by graphite and carbon black. Once you put it on, wait for it to dry and then buff it. Sort of like shining your dad's shoes way back when.

Meh...
Found it a little difficult to use. I was expecting better results. The finish on my stove is not rusted, just heat faded.....kinda white where it got really hot. With 5 or 6 coats it turned black but thats with leaving a heavy layer behind. It made it black again but was expecting something a little more user friendly. Maybe my expectations were to high. Will try a different product.

Gas fireplace front frame
My fireplace front frame was starting to show light rust staining. I rubbed this stove black paste on it and it completely eliminated the rust stains. That was six months ago and it still looks great.

A tad expensive but did everything it was supposed to do. Will see how it stands up to heat this winter.

Haven’t used it yet will rate again when I do
The only problem is the container was cracked across the bottom when I got it. I weighed it and there’s 5.4 oz. In the jar so I looks like nothing is lost. I had to put it in a zip loc bag. Once I use it I’ll put it in a jar and vacuum seal it so it doesn’t dry out. I don’t know how much I’m going to need to do the top of the wood stove.
