The footbed is much more comfortable than Birkenstock. Too bad this model is discontinued. The replacement model has a raised heel which is better for walking, but not better for just lounging around the house.

I ordered these sandals after returning the women's version. These sandals look and feel amazing. The arch support is equally great. Hands down better than Birkenstocks. The seller ship these out fast too.

This is his second pair of Mephisto sandals. The first pair lasted ten years. The sole was disintegrating at that point. He finds these very comfy, no break in period.The foot bed has curled up at the toe and heel, though. The first pair did not.

The shoe looks very nice but is way to wide and won't stay on your feet. Had to return.
