Lots of fun detail with these small tiles
There is a lot I like about these tiny tiles.I am making a mosaic as a backsplash for my kitchen. In my case the tiles are glued onto 1/4 inch mesh but 1/8 inch would have been far better for these mini tiles. Fortunately a tacky mosaic glue kept each tile perched to a single strand without falling into the gaps. If you decide to use mesh, look for 1/8" mesh. I also made a coaster as a practice project. These tiles glue perfectly to a solid surface. Some reviewers said the tiles were smaller than expected. My calipers measure them at 4.7 to 4.9 mm wide (they are marketed as 5 mm wide) and about 2.7 mm thick (they are marketed as 3mm). This is about 3/16 inches wide by 7/64 inches (almost 1/8") thick. In my design there are 25 tiles per square inch, with about 1/32" (0.8 mm) between tiles for a fine grout.WHAT I LIKEThe tiles come in vivid colors and can be easily nipped into triangles or rectangles or quartered into squares to fit tight spaces, using tile or glass nippers. My design is a wildlife scene so I want a lot detail, similar to pixels on a screen. I did not have a problem with unacceptable tiles (e.g. lack of glaze). A bag of 1000 was almost entirely usable. The glaze on each piece produces a very slight mound in the center. This mound will allow the grout to get an even tighter grip on the edges to keep each tile in place. These are very small but high quality tiles.AREAS FOR IMPROVEMENTI heartily endorse this product so am reluctant to make any complaint at all. But I have one complaint. The product is trickled out.My project requires 10,000 tiles of which about 6000 pieces are white. I knew this from the start and tried to order all I needed, but the supply was limited. I could only buy one 250 piece or 1000 piece bag at a time. So far I've received 1000 pieces of white, with another 2000 still on back order. The final 3000 I need aren't in stock or available to purchase. I contacted the merchant to see if I could buy a 5000 piece bag but was told the product would not be available in the US for a couple months. Then something curious happens. A couple days after ordering one bag (all that was available) the color is often restocked. I could buy one more bag. A dozen packages have been shipped to me so far as I continue to buy the colors I need one little bitty bag at a time. Someone is paying a lot for my free prime shipping. There is another problem related to trickled product.Dye lots vary. This is fine (and desirable) if you can buy all the product you need at once. Then the variations can be used to create subtle color shifts or be mixed together for a more uniform look. But I didn't anticipate this. When my first package of Dark Salmon arrived I eagerly started on the nearly solid rust colored borders, before my other packages of Dark Salmon were even available for purchase. The next two packages were much browner (as pictured). Now I'm hunting for a rust tile to mix in with the browner tiles to soften the transition where the two dye lots will meet.Lesson learned: don't start your design until you have all the tile you will need, especially if you are forming solid areas of color.Despite these concerns I think these tiles are excellent quality, wonderfully itty bitty, and great fun to work with. A few hiccups in the supply chain are not enough to deter me from ordering from this merchant again and again.

Color & description as advertised - beautiful
I LOVE how small these are. I tend to create really detailed mosaic pieces and cutting larger pieces into tiny ones is very tedious. These made my life so much easier AND it was easy to make them even smaller by cutting them with nippers or using a dremel. The painted surface stood up well against the grouting process and didn't scratch off. I don't recall if they are specifically stated as such, but I want to note to newer mosaic hobbyists that these are NOT outdoor friendly over long periods of time. They may be okay for a year or two but it's just a fact that this material is more porus and will absorb moisture, expand and contract with temp changes, and therefore eventually crumble outside. Use these gorgeous pieces for indoor work :) I am SO happy with mine.

Great little tiles
They look great and seem good quality but be aware of the tiny size

Small but worked for my project
Used these tiny tiles to create a mosaic art project. I ended up using my long handled craft tweezers to place the pieces because they are very small. Even though they were small, my project turned out well. Several of the tiles were flawed and unusable but overall I was pleased with the look and color of the tiles. I ordered the burnt orange and white tiles and used over 3000 of them to make my creation.

Not worth the price, so tiny that these might not be usable
Should be pictured next to a ruler.

Smaller than a peppercorn and dull colors
When I received my package, I didn't believe my tiles were inside, it was so light. Then I saw the two packages and the tiles inside. These tiles are smaller than a peppercorn and appear to be mostly two dull colors with a few other dull colors. Not at all what they show in their pictures. Totally disappointed.

Great little micro tiles!
These little tiles measure 1/4 inch square. Perfect for my project. The product photo makes it look like the tiles are delivered in a jumble, but they actually come in separate little bags by color. Fast shipping - I highly recommend!
